I like how you brought up that you don't know if Renée Zellweger would have gotten as far in her career if she'd started with her new face. Jennifer Gray's career famously came screeching to a halt when she got her nose done. I didn't even recognize her when she was on Friends as Mindy, and I was watching Dirty Dancing around the same time. The problem with cosmetic surgery is that everyone starts to look more and more alike, and sometimes it's more fun to watch someone with a unique look onscreen. :)

I will never understand these young beautiful girls having work done to their already amazing faces..but I am all for it when we get older because then sometimes you really need a bit of help. I am 51 and doing my best and hope to make it to 60 before I have any invasive work done. I use my Nuface almost everyday, exfoliate, mild peels, etc...it all helps.

I thought this was very fascinating. I'm glad you went over Renee Zellweger because I couldn't for the life of me figure out what she had done but that she _had done something_ which made her look like a different person. I never even considered that she had her eyelids altered to open her eyes more! I do agree that she looks less 'mean'. But I liked her original look better, because she had a cute kind of fairy/elf type natural look going on there. It's just too drastic for me from watching movies like Empire Records over & over it's just so incredibly strange to me how different her face looks now. I don't think she looks bad, honestly she looks great, it's just that she doesn't seem like herself to me because of the work she's had.

So many women could look so much better if they just took care of themselves and most of all, avoided the sun. I'm 54 and always get mistaken for much younger. I have no wrinkles or skin that looks like crepe paper. Some of it could be genetics but I've never baked myself in the heat the way so many women do to get that glowing tan because in the end, your face ends up looking like a handbag. Plus I see so many women with sunspots and saggy necks. I don't have those problems either. Nothing can restore youth. Maybe if you're lucky, you can find a doctor to make you look better once you've damaged yourself. Unfortunately, many women don't and looking like an alien has become the norm.

You're very smart and thus, you're lucky! I've not been a 'sun baker' in my life, but have had my share of time out in the sun. I've stopped spending time out in the sun by the time I was about 47-48 yrs. of age. I'm now 58 and I think I look better than women who are 10 years younger than me. I'm glad I stayed out of the sun for the most part as an older person but wished now that I'd stayed out of it altogether. :c)

@@cish6047 Thanks. I forgot to mention that I've also been moisturizing since I was about 14 and probably started using foundation at maybe 16. I'm sure it helped protect my skin along with the minimal sun exposure. I've used Lubriderm for the most part. You don't have to go high end with department store brands. Lubriderm is a drugstore brand sold in the US and has served me well. Last but not least, Vitamin C is essential for collagen production and maintenance in the skin and I have always taken it. (Not a smoker either and have even quit social drinking. Both not great for the skin).

@@gerardinecizmar I use CeraVe, another drugstore brand, WalMart sells it the cheapest. Dr. Dray (another KZbinr, a dermatologist) recommends it. It's nice to know you don't need to break the bank for good skin care lotions and potions. I'll have to try Vitamin C--I've heard it's good for the skin. I, too, have never smoked or drink, I hate the smell of both! ;c) And I've never seen the need for either.

I"m not a professional like you but it sure does look like she has had something done. I met a makeup artist who has done Rene Zellwegar's makeup and she said Rene had to get an eye lift because her naturally hooded eyes were starting to droop and obstruct her vision. She mentioned that Jennifer Lawrence (and actually me, that was the discussion) would likely need the procedure done in not too long. Not sure if it's true, but from my own experience my Dad does need his eye lifted so he can see and we do have the same eye shape.

There seems to be a transition time with the older celebs (the smart ones anyway) when they give up on trying to look 20, and embrace looking like a damned fine version of 50, 60 and beyond. I'm not a doctor, but I suspect that's when they take 6 months out of the spotlight, let all those fillers dissolve and just get a proper facelift. SO much better.

@@mgal6234 I think they've blown up their faces so much, they don't know what they're dealing with any more. I just got my first fillers at 54, in the tear troughs, and I love it! Much more painful than advertising, and 10 solid days of bruising afterward. I used to do Botox in my 50s, but as my skin got thinner it just seemed to be pushing the wrinkles around.

I really enjoy these particular type of videos as you aren't nasty about the people you are talking about, you just focus on whether the work has been done well from a professional point of view. Is there any way you could keep the large pictures up for longer whilst you explain things.
