Brother war einer der letzten Hersteller, der Patronen ohne Chip anbot - Die LC-1100 ist zum Nachfüllen besonders gut geeignet. Druckerchannel zeigt, wie man die Original-Patronen LC-1100 schnell und einfach wiederbefüllt.

These can be very easily refilled using a normal syringe with a "cannula" style tip by creating a vacuum inside the cartridge. Good idea to pop the spring loaded part off though to clean up excess! Thanks for that tip!

@Druckerchannel Hello! I just tried refilling the cartridge through the air ventilator just as danylokosenko proposed. And it works =D Simple and clean ...without using a drill and without breaking the whole plastic thing!

Well, it worked for me! So many thanks for your upload. I just had to hope that I was drilling in the right place... I managed to fill all four cartridges so it can't have to be that precise(?) Maybe I was just lucky... I also found it far easier to put the springs on the spikes first... it is not that difficult really... but thanks once again.

These cartridges use a light detector to detect the presence of the ink level indicator in the clear window between the valve and ink exit. This stops the printer working because the cartridge is "empty" when in fact it isn't empty at all! You can fool the detector by putting a small amount of tape (or use a black felt pen) on the sides of the clear section of plastic.

Actually one don't need to drill anything. It is possible to refill this kind of cartridge through air ventilation (just use a syringe w/o needle and press the other flap to avoid overpressure). I did it NOT ONCE, it works!

can you refill starter cartridges just the same or are they different? Like will they correctly refill and does the printer recognize them as starter cartridges or does the printer see them all the same?

Buenisimo, una manera de ahorrar dinero cuando tienes que imprimir mas de mil copias, ademas protejes el ambiente porque no tienes que botar tantos cartuchos. Yo no lo abri con un drill, use una aguja caliente y por ahi injecto la tinta.

es geht nicht nur um den Preis der kompatiblen Patrone. Wer gute Tinte will, muss entweder die teuren Originalpatronen verwenden oder gute Markentinte kaufen und selber befüllen. In den Billigpatronen für 50 Cent kann nur "Müll" an Tinte drin sein.

@piersicutza20 yes, the lc980 are the same cartridges with the differece that the LC980 contain less ink. on our website we show you how to use the LC1100-cartridges in a Brother printer that only uses the LC980 cartridges. Just search for "Reichweite Erhöhen" on our site in the upper right corner. Click on "Die Tintenpatronen" Look for the picture with the two Brother cartridges and the arrow.

Es geht nicht nur um Druckqualität - in erster Linie kann man mit der Billigtinte den Druckkopf zerstören oder durch die häufigen Reinigungsvorgänge den Resttintenbehälter füllen, was zu einem verfrühten Druckertod führt. This is a very complicated way to do a simple refill. Look on KZbin for videos like.... "Refill brother LC61 original (BK, C, M, Y) easy" Same idea and works nicely. Don't forget to wear gloves and to be sure of the quality of ink you purchase.

you can use the cartridge again. Just scrape off the hot glue and refill the cartridge. An easier way to refill the brother cartridge you'll find in the link in the video description.

Warum diesen Aufwand betreiben... Ich habe mich auch immer über die Rest-Tinte in den Patronen geärgert... Diese lässt sich problemlos über über das Auslass-Ventil absaugen und wie ich zu meiner grossen Überraschung, so auch in eine andere Original-Patrone einfüllen... Einfach den Schieber abnehmen, wie im Video, Spritze ansetzen, Entlüftung drücken und Absaugen. Zum Einfüllen das ganze Rückwärts, sollte auch mit Fremdtinte funktionieren oder...

Methode nur für den Profi mit Erfahrung! Gut gemeint, aber für normale Anwender nicht zur Nachahmung empfohlen. Ich finde diese Anleitung für den Laien (Nicht-Profi) nicht hilfreich, sondern extrem gefährlich. Man sollte wissen, was man tut. Hier arbeitet jedoch man ins Ungewisse hinein! Beachten bitte Sie auch, dass die Seitenflächen des inneren Patronenkörpers aus dünner Folie bestehen, die leicht mit einer Kanüle durchstochen werden kann. Hier ist eine große Schweineriei vorprogrammiert!
