English lyrics from metal-archives: And early spring laughed: "It’s time!" Behind the Black Road, behind the Great Meadow - My great-grandfather and great-great, great-great - Everybody follow Time, like a plough. Behind a field there’s a field, behind a field - a field and a field Behind the Black Road, behind the Great Meadow, They are already in a mist - like a mist - Everybody already follow Time, like a plough. What a heavy steps Eternity haves! Behind the Black Road, behind the Great Meadow. Such free and young - Is it real that I already follow Time, like a plough?! What I will plough? What a field I will sow? Behind the Black Road, behind the Great Meadow Is it real that I’m in a mist too - like a mist - And I already follow Time, like a plough?..

The Great Meadow is a historic name of a specific area of reed beds (if that's the right way to put it) in Ukraine, where the Cossacks of the Zaporozhian Sich used to graze livestock and hunt. It was also easier to hide there, so the Great Meadow was associated with safety and freedom.

Don't know if y'all noticed this, but one of the beautiful things I noticed in this song back when I first heard it is that the acoustic part that is played at 1:19 in the song by itself, is repeated electrically, but with the drums, and bass included at 3:20, giving it a more epic emphasis.

I remember the first time I heard Drudkh. It was a lot for me to take in, it's a band up there with Opeth. Once you hear them it's extremely hard to not remember that first moment. Drudkh has forever been one of my all-time go-to's like Mastodon, Opeth, Meshuggah, Gojira. It's just a band that will NEVER disappoint in any way or form. With all that being said, if they could go even deeper into the hole with something like Early Thorns, Taake, Judas Iscariot, Ulver, Abigor. The list will never end!

Drudkh is some of the best modern black metal there is. So many great songs on Blood in Our Wells and their debut, especially, but all of their albums bring something. They're a great first step into the incredible Ukrainian/Russian black metal scene. It's slowed down a little bit more recently, but 10-15 years ago the best black metal in the world was consistently coming out of these scenes.

@@alexleon2944 well, can you put source of it, please? Ok i found. Well, You were right. In terms of vocabulary, yes, 22% of similar words with Polish and 11% is russian. Well ok, but there are more similar languages to ukraininian www.ukrainianlessons.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/ukrainian-russian-lexical-distance-1.jpg and i think on terms of language sounding and pronunciation ukraininian is more similar to east slavonic languages like russian, belarusian, than to west slavonic like Polish, Czech etc. So yes, vocabulary closer, but soft sounding od ukrainian language is more similar to russian i think. So for somebody out of our locations ukrainian sounds more russian-like than west-slavonic one. That was my point. That's pointed also by assign ukrainian to east slavonic, aside of Polish which belongs to west slavonic family. But under circumstances of vocabulary yes, You are right👍
