A young Russian activist has recounted how he was forced to take drugs that affected his cognitive abilities as part of his punishment for staging illegal protests, in what appears to be a trend toward reviving the Soviet-era practice of sending regime critics to psychiatric facilities.

"Drugs that prevent you from articulating your thoughts" - that's pretty much how a regular person percieves the effects of antipsychotics/schizophrenia drugs. This is beyond horrible - APs can have lasting and debilitating side effects, even after they're stopped. That young man is not only risking his freedom, but also his life and health.

You described millions upon millions of drug users/addicts in the West. Plus millions upon millions of prescribed drug users again all over the west. But that is ok I guess, because it is the West. Meanwhile without you knowing anything about the case of this boy, you come to the conclusion that "bad Putin, that boy is in danger!!" just because the CIA channel tells you so.... Pathetic..... No brains whatsoever...

Big Pharma profits off people in America. My husband checked himself into a psychiatric clinic 'cause he was trying to get off drugs, 15 years ago, and all they did was drug him so bad he could barely walk or think to make a sentence or understand what you were saying to him. I signed papers to send him to a place that they said was better, but found out it's not. I made an appointment to talk to someone and he acted like i was a joke, with his half laughing grin and another guy there staring at me the same way. I was half crying. My mother-in-law talked to a friend at the courthouse who was able to get him out, just before they were going to send him to that place hours away that is really hard to get out of. My husband got sober using the 12 steps program

Igor now has hundreds, if not thousands that know of him, what has happened to him and why. That is incredible power, but also a testament to Igor and how beautiful, powerful, quiet and resolved this young man is to create the change he wants to see in his world. All the power to Igor, I'll be looking out for you to continue being a witness to your noble and lonely struggle!

There is always a tendency to equate / conflate US vs Russia (Soviet Empire). However, there are some fundamental differences. Does the US gov't attack the personality / mental health of some who criticize it? Yes, perhaps it has, but these are acts of men, not of a state. Whereas in Russia, they are the actions of the state, not just cruel people. In Russia, the whole state is cruel; not the case in the West.

@@pnf197 When I think about the whole Julian Assange ordeal, Guantanamo Bay and the wars on drugs and terror, there has been a lot of government-led violence, torture and abductions on behalf on official U.S. interests. While the U.S. being more humane overall compared to Iran, Russia or China, that's also an exceptionally low bar to top. Let's be real for a moment. The U.S. being the only western country that hasn't ratified the basic human rights charta (nor intends to) and made it a part of the constitution, is a f*cking disgrace - and the only reason why this isn't done is because it hurts certain political and monetary interests.

Typical whataboutism - doesn’t make what happened in this young man’s case or systemically in Ruzzia right despite your false claims. There is no *punitive* *psychiatry* in the USA like there is Ruzzia - watch the actual video.
@artnull13
@artnull13 11 ай бұрын
@@Psychx_ yet none of them have incarcerated dissidents on the basis of false psychiatric reasons as this video points out Ruzzia is doing. Assange isn’t a person facing extradition because the US government considers him mentally ill but because they consider him guilty of espionage and a foreign agent. So again you’re conflating entirely different reasons.

My ex husband wanted to lock me up in the mental hospital for the rest of my life. My biological and biological father who taped themselves having sex (amateur porn stars) wanted to lock me up in the mental institution too. Now I am suicidal. They took my only son away from me. I am very sick though physically very sick in a lot of pain. They have some Russian or Ukrainian speaking people in New Jersey New Bridge Medical Center.
