Hello Professor Zach, Thank you so much for making pharmacology concepts so easy to absorb. Your lectures are perfects ( not much length and covers all the important information). I am preparing for my Pharmacy exam and having a 6 years of gap after my B.Pharm and M.pharm. But, before I go through the book, I first watch your video which really helps me to understand and retain concepts much better. Thank you Thank you Thank you soo much, for all your help in getting my license. keep up the good work.

Hi Zach I am only a garden variety pharmacist but really enjoy listening to you when I walk for a couple of hours each week . Thanks so much for great informative presentations that are a pleasure to listen to. Just sad you weren't around in the 80s when I went to Sydney Uni because I don't think I've learnt enough comparing to what I don't know and what I am learning from you 🧐😯Timea S.

I had a total cholesterol of 279. Take Zetia 10mg daily, I did experience severe muscle pain when other statins were tried. (also levothyroxin but hours apart). No other health issues. Went to a whole food Vegan diet (almost a year now). Last check total cholesterol was 205, still high. My doctor said its genetics. Went down to eating once a day, made sure I dropped sugar as well I carefully watch it.. Would an additional med help like a "fibrate". Thank you so much for this video, I do understand a lot more!

thank you for helping me to understand why I continue to have high lipids even though I'm eating pristinely what choices do I have to lower #'s. I'm on niacin. But I'm not exercising. Because I'm 74 and don't want a statin, can't afford the injection, I'm upping the niacin, and joining a gym to work out 5 days a week 45 minutes and see if this has a major effect of my lipid #'s. Thank you so much. xx

I’m 36, had small stroke, then major ischemic, I was 1 month postpartum, and 2 months post stroke. Low blood pressure. Was on 4 aspirins when had stroke, and heparin. Still don’t know why it happened. I’ve been fasting and still isn’t helping. I’ll try niacin. 🤷♀️

Heparin and aspirin shouldn't be taken together. Didn't your doctor tell you this? Next time ask or Google if certain drugs shouldn't mix . I hope you are better

Zach, your lectures are amazing! Thank you for continuing to film new content for us. Question - according to the ASCVD risk reduction guidelines from ACC updated in 2022, it is recommended to add bempedoic acid as the “next step” after PCSK9 mAb and ezetimibe and I’m curious why you haven’t added this drug option to this video. Is there a reason? (I haven’t been practicing while raising kids and I’m reviewing to jump back in the saddle so I may have missed something!) Thank you!

I have a question concerning the bile acid sequestrants. If they decrease cholesterol and therefore increase the LDL receptors, wouldn't there also be an increase in HDL synthesis? Because low cholesterol leads to more increase in HDL
