Always love these helpful videos. Have you considered testing skincare by common supermarkets e.g. Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Sainsburys and drugstores such as Boots/Superdrug. Many now have their own ranges.

I've always had dry flakey lips and have lip balms in every pocket and bag. My osteopath said I needed to drink more water for my joints and that I should try to drink 3L per day - eek! At first it was very hard and I still can't quite manage 3L but I do have at least 2.5L. My dry lip problem has totally disappeared. If only I'd known this decades ago I would have saved a fortune. Love your videos x

These videos are helpful, i used to buy more high-end, but with my living costs recently going so high, i have had to look for more affordable options for makeup! I have just swapped my usual 'it cosmetics' cc cream and tried Lumene cc cream (new to the UK but a big hit in Europe) and i absolutely love it, its lighter and feels like nothing on my face Gemma, I'd be interested to see you / your mum try it and hear your thoughts if you haven't already?! Does it have anything to do with the laundry?!” 😂

I only use the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine nail polish. It’s wonderful. It has a wide brush so I start from the sides of my nails and rarely have to do a third swipe in the middle. Usually 2 layers is all you need, apart from the very light shades and how you want those to look. And shades! Spoiled for juice there. And if you finish with the ‘Plumpy’ topcoat you really get the look of a gel manicure from a salon. I’m about to place a biggish order for some of the shades so I’m going to add that lip scrub because why the hell not! Thank you Gemma. I like others love your ‘drugstore’ videos so I hope the moaners are happy now. But I love all your videos, with the high end ones I watch because I might see something I fancy which is worth less coffees to save Pennie’s to by it. Thanks again! Oh and I love long form videos too 🐺

Gemma I am a great fan of yours, and hang on your every word as far as skin care goes, may I ask your advice? It’s about eye cream for mature eyes for many years on your and your mums advice I’ve been buying Bobbi Brown Extra Eye repair cream. I’ve found it to be really good. Now I’ve discovered they have changed the original form and this one is just a poor relation to the original. Can you tell me what your mum uses now instead? It’s so disheartening when they do these things, by the way I love your channel, your my favorite, x

Just passing on info from Dermatologist Dr. Dray-go easy on lip scrubs. The skin on our lips is our thinnest skin, and very easily damaged. Frequent use of scrubs actually makes the lip condition worse. The outer layer needs to be very carefully treated with emollients. I have very dry lips that get flaky easily. I’ve quit using scrubs-and my lips are in better shape.

Body creams that are effective and suitable for lots of skin types and needs are hard to find and increasingly confusing. It's easy to find a perfumed body cream but it's not easy to find a moisturising, effective at reducing pigmentation, wrinkles, firmness etc 😢

I have the same mental block sometimes but I had that put in check recently. I bought a Chanel nail polish that was awful. I do my own nails regularly and have used a wide variety of brands. The Chanel polish took forever to dry and chipped in the first few hours of wear. I figured that just isn’t the forte of that brand so I will stick with the brands that know their stuff when it comes to specific products.
