My kids are avid readers and we have tons of books! They have favorites that we read over and over again, but they are also always discovering new ones in our collection. I agree that they do not need absurd amounts of toys, but I will never limit the amount of books they have because we all love them in this home ❤ Whatever God leads you to that works for your family will always be right! ❤

As a mother of three avid teen/pre-teen readers, I will say that we read the same three or four over and over again, but when they were ready to switch it up, I had a lot (A LOT) of books on the shelf for them to find something that sparked their curiosity. It’s the same now with adult/YA books. There were couch/bedside table books in heavy rotations and then the bookcase for alternates.

Just finished watching, and I am so glad I found your channel before the holiday season! You are so calm and enjoyable to listen to. I agree with the sentiment you shared at the end. I'm not rushing towards ANYTHING, and instead just trying to breathe in each moment instead (the good and the hard ones). I think that's key to processing all emotions and all thoughts in life. I wish I could be working with plants in the yard like you in Florida, but up here in Iowa there's not much to be done, other than planning my garden for Spring (which is quite fun to work on and think about), so I've been doing a lot of that this week. I also got a new mixer for Christmas, and have been having fun with that in the kitchen, baking up a storm. I've been perfecting my sourdough process lately, and am currently waiting on my dough to rise, so watching a few videos was perfect in between steps! Thanks for being a breath of fresh air!

Those village houses are cheap on ebay now. The old Walmart ones are intricate like yours, the news ones not so much. Collect and make Wells a village over time. LOVE the rain! It hasn't rained here where I am in SoCal since last June! I wanted to live in Fla when I grew up but my mom brought us to the desert. I am too old to move now and sad about that.

Love the christmas card banner, you could use it for any holiday or season really. For valentines day with old cards or hearts and such cut from your criket. Then for spring little flower seed packets. Wells little coos in the background are so sweet and precious 💞 💞 💞 💞

Simplicity parenting is my all time favorite parenting book. I read it 14 years ago when I had my oldest and it still applies today with my youngest who is 3. I think I need to reread it soon. Kim John Payne has some other fabulous books too.

I’m in the uk so our main celebration is 25th December but in my house we leave the decorations up till 3 kings day, sometimes outside lights will remain up cos there isn’t time (or the weather isn’t safe) to take them down but all lights stay off after epiphany.

We do a book rotation every other weekend/once a month. The kids choose 6-7 books for their rooms from our home library stock and it’s so enjoyable, simple and allows for repetition!

Idk if you will see this but if you take the head off your vacuum and place it over that screw hole on the compression bag it will vacuum seal it! I use them all the time!

I’ve heard that the Our Place pots are not that great. Stainless steel is the best to cook with. Hope this helps. (If you get stainless steel let the pan warm up before you add oil to keep food from sticking.)

They have beautiful artificial fan palms you should put in your living room instead. There’s no shame in that. They’ll keep dying if you keep them in there and it takes a long time to get them that big just to be neglected.
