I love how you get to the point. No, going into detail, but not over baring us with too much information. It's just enough for us to get the gist of what his things are done. No matter what I do my highlight and concealer cakes up. My blush too. I hate when it looks great but after a few how's I'm caked up foundation melting off. I've tried a lot of things. Unfortunately, I can't use powder to set foundation along concealer. It will definitely be cakey without a half hour passing by. Very frustrating. I put makeup on others and it lasts and it looks amazing after hours of wear, yet when I do it, my shit melts and looks cakey. So upsetting. Grrrr. Do you have any suggestions?

+Maria Diaz Are you using an oil absorbing primer first? And the make-up needs to be oil free as well. That's probably why it's caking up, if your skin is too oily or too dry it's going to mix with your foundation and change texture. I found that to be the case with Bare Minerals Matte compact foundation. The lady didn't tell me it had moisturizers built into it. Within a couple hours of putting it on it started separating on my skin and looking fake and weird, which I believe is what you mean by "cakey". It was making my skin oily or at least making it oilier that it already was. And if you can't use an oil absorbing translucent powder on top than try the Urban Decay makeup setting spray.

I am always so dry under my eyes when I apply my makeup even after primer, foundation then concealer looks soooo cakey I I have tried everything, any ideas to help. I use a serum at morning and night (Thomas roth camu camu) if I spelled that right, and eye cream and moisturizer. Thanks

I am amazed at the transformation. When you first applied the primer and foundation I thought your face looked just like plastic. By the time you were done it looked totally natural. Wow! I think that this was one of the best how-to get the lovely look that you are sporting. A beautiful girl you are! I will be 62 at the end of this month and it has taken 40-plus years to take an interest in makeup, I always had great skin until I turned 50 and I had rosace and menopause to totally ruin my skin. Jaimie Halpern I have the same problem around my nose. My makeup never looks like this! I've heard that waxing the peach fuzz helps, and trying building your primer up. Not an expert just learned it from KZbin.

I'm bad about falling asleep with my makeup on. I know they say if you have dry patches or dirt it makes it blotchy. I've been watching a lot of videos on it. Never go in circular motions, and try using setting spray after foundation before power. Elf cosmetics is very affordable and its high quality for the price. I've used expensive foundations, and it dosent help. just my tips I've tried.
