The application steps helped smoothen the appearance, cover imperfections and my primer and foundation lasted and did not look patchy or mask like at the end of the day! Thank you so much

I have really oily skin, so oil to the face is a huge no no. I use St. Ives collagen cream, which is super soft, absorbs well and is hypoallergenic. Then I use a light scrub, so I don't irritate my skin. Then I use a base cream before putting on foundation, etc.

So many KZbinrs don't bother tying their hair back or using a hair band when they do their make-up. The brushes get caught in their hair, they're constantly tucking it behind their ears or flicking it out of the way. So they many look a bit of a div while they're applying their make-up (my BFF has hysterics when I wear my rams ears hairband) but there'd be more of an impact to the finished look ...ok, rant over 😄.

@@theresag.4188 I was able to successfully lose 120 lb about 10 years ago. It stayed off for 3 years and then I went through some traumatic experiences and gained it all back plus more. It's definitely possible but believe me when I tell you it's not about the food and it's not about lack of exercise. It's about what's going on internally within you. Your subconscious mind, your thoughts and how you feel about yourself and how you speak to yourself and what you believe to be the truth about yourself, your emotions and how you cope with your emotions. It's all of that tied into one. Weight loss is very complex. It's not as simple as just counting calories and exercising. But if you do the work, and if I do the work, we can make it happen. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been needing a video like this for years and I had no idea! Question: have you ever tried a silicone makeup sponge? I'd love to hear what your take is on them. I have the kind if sponge you recommended and have been using that type for quite some time, but I just ordered a silicone one the other day to see what it's like. Reason being I'm a bit of a germaphobe and I hate having to constantly wash my sponges only to have them not get all the way clean and the texture gets rougher and I and up replacing them quite often. The silicone sponge appealed to me because first of all, it doesn't absorb your foundation so that you end up using alot less than with a normal sponge that it soaks into, plus they are super durable and easy to clean. I don't have any experience with them as of yet, this is just what I gave heard. If you have an opinion on them I'd love to hear it! Thanks again!

Girl look at that rock, congratulations!! 💍🍾 kinda had a feeling it was coming 😉 but anyway thanks so much for all the wonderful tips! You have basically taught me all about skincare and makeup within the last year or so and I am so grateful!!

Thank you girl! I've completely changed my skincare routine and the way I apply my makeup thanks to your tips and it's really working! I've ALWAYS struggled with textured, oily, acne prone skin and it's slowly getting better since I've made these changes. It's a long process, but finally I can see the light! Sooner or later I will invest on Dermalogica skincare as well, it is quite expensive, but since I trust you I'm sure it is woth the money! You are the best! Thank you!!

Thank you!!! I JUST noticed my skin texture MATCHED the Texture in my new blush-- so I immediately knew my makeup brush was the culprit. Nooooooo!!!! I hope I can undo years of Bare Minerals with the brush!

gGrl, you are so much more gorgeous without makeup on! just some eye linger, a lip liner and gloss a few shades darker than your lips... yes, I'm telling you your final makeup look hides your natural beauty. Hiding you.

So if your advising us to ditch the brushes in favour of a sponge for Foundation and powder... What do you use for blusher, contour and highlight??
@MyreW365 жыл бұрын
Also a sponge 🙄

How do you apply your blusher? Use the same beauty blender or brush?

No matter what Products I use or how I use it, I don’t even have acne anymore but after I apply makeup it looks like I do, and large pores have a nice halo around each of them. I get super oily after a couple hours and my makeup just wipes off

PORES...OMGEEEE...They are a real pain in the behind. I have about 5 primers...all of them just wipe off when i apply foundation. my makeup is so horrible

Wow!!!!! Just what I needed to know. I am struggling with rough textured skin as I’m over 50 and have not taken the best care of my skin the last 10 Years. I am using a three month retinol treatment now to get rid of the buildup of rough skin. I’m using Josie Maran Milk as my moisturizer and getting great results but after I apply makeup I can see every little flaw. Especially after I apply my setting powder. I have setting spray but had no idea how to use it. Thanks for sharing this information!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I was struggling so hard with a number of issues and you have been a life saver! I greatly appreciate the incredibly helpful techniques you share. I also have to say it makes it so much easier to follow these tips because you do such a good job of thoroughly explaining the steps and the reasons behind why they work. Seriously, you have changed my make-up wearing experience drastically! I'm so much more confident now!

Unsure about this I would imagine you would end up with a thick lot of products with all that layering
@AliceOfWonders6 жыл бұрын
April Lane it depends on what you're putting on. With the moisturiser, leave it for about ten minutes after you apply it - let your skin absorb it while you have breakfast or do your hair maybe. When you apply primer after that, it shouldn't feel like there's anything in your face (esp since primers are so thin and not always for makeup, its good to just apply them anyway); the foundation would be the first 'layer'. I agree that contouring/blush/highlighting feel like a lot though, esp if you do it every day :-x for an everyday look foundation is usually enough. #mytwocents

Was that a new "ring" on your finger girlfriend? I hope that means good news. Do you think there is a foundation out there that's better for "older" gals like myself? Full coverage I do need. Also the beauty blender. Does it have to be the true beauty blender at $22.00 or will another do. Thank you, I'm a big fan. You put a smile on my face while I just had some back surgery :-)

I know this is an old comment but I recently discovered the Sonia Kashuk beauty sponge for $7 and it's HUGE and soft and amazing! And it's black and white marble colored so it's seriously adorable.

Over years of experimenting, my 50+ yo skin gets better coverage with a brush than either a beauty blender or sea sponge.

The first KZbinr I’ve come across who’s whole video is less then most of the youtuber ‘introduction’ out here and honestly I love it! Can’t stand when they talk and talk for ages rather then getting to the point and for that reason I shall subscribe!

In a video on pores you say to use a brush to apply foundation and fill pores but here you say use a beauty blender. If I have massive pores do I do a brush or beauty blender?
