Well for face I use a 7 dollar beauty blender from Sonia Kashuk(target) that works really well. For eyeshadow brushes elf has these white brushes at target that I believe are a dollar each and I've found that they work well for being a dollar. I do agree a tools video would be good, I thought maybe you could would like my recommendations because I don't have money to spend like that either.

Tasfiah Bhuiyan I think she might mean the essence big lash, it's 3$ at ulta or target. It is very watery though in my opinion, difficult to apply if you're messy like me! I love the cover girl peacock mascara, it's dryer, great wand and makes my stubby eyelashes beautiful!

This may not be super helpful, but if you want to try a few different brands/tools, and you do not want to spend a ton of money, Target is selling most of their holiday makeup kits for 50% off --(Now, you would need to purchase sometime in the next couple days because stock is quickly dwindling). They have full brush sets from elf ($10 -50%= $5), Eco tools full face brush sets, real techniques 4-piece brush and 3-piece sponge sets ($20-50% = $10; $10-50% = $5), and a number of other deals. As well, they have Soap and Glory, Harry/Gilette/Schick, Bliss, Profusion, Raw Sugar, Burts Bees, Kristin Ess, Prep Skincare, and Eos lip and body sets on clearance. --Again, I do apologize if this long reply is not helpful, but I just wanted to let you know that you can purchase a full set of brushes, sponges, and face makeup for less than 20 bucks:)

Makeup tips for beginners: 1) Less is more 2) Know your skin type 3) Educate yourself on application techniques 4) Expensive doesn't necessarily mean better 5) That said, splurging every so often isn't always a bad thing. If you can afford it, and it doesn't interfere with other expenses, why not? 6) Start with the basics 7) Makeup isn't a mask 8) Skincare is everything. 9) Beauty blenders, especially the Real Techniques, work fantastic. 10) Lips are a part of your face - show them some love too! 11) Transition shades exist, and are important. 12) Eyeliner shouldn't be too thick 13) Apply mascara on your lashes toward the inner corner. 14) Start with eye makeup 15) Start face makeup with a sheer coverage foundation. 16) Everyone is different, everyone's skin is different, everyone's facial features are different. 17) DO NOT BE ASHAMED OF FRECKLES IF YOU HAVE THEM! This is not the end-all-be-all of makeup, and I'm sure some people will disagree, but I hope this helps someone out there :)

Why the eff are videos like this so rare? When I first started really, really getting into makeup - you know, beyond just mascara, concealer and lipstick - I wasted so much money on products I had no business using because I saw influencers using them. There was such a big jump from 'Oooh, I like using mascara' to 'Look at my cut crease'. There wasn't really anything in between; videos just seemed to be about how to use items that have recently been released on the market. This video is so altruistic, it's not flogging anything, and it's really giving useful and informative advice to people who are just starting out and really shouldn't be spending hundreds of dollars on their makeup.

use setting powder or setting spray on the edge of your glasses where it touches ur face. That usually works with foundation or concealer. eye looks can still work for when you wear glasses just put white eyeliner or a pale toned one where the waterline is to make your eye look wider. for the upper lashline, it doesn't have to be a wing it can just be a line with no wing to widen the eye even more and give more attention to the look. (yes i wear glasses) I hope this was helpful

I would love to see a nurses long lasting makeup. I know that working 16 hours, when I did nursing, did a number on my makeup. The longest shift I was at work for was during a blizzard when roads closed. 5 shifts of 8 hours. A 40 hour work week in one "day." I'm pretty sure there is no makeup made for those kinds of shifts!

I gave up on glamming for work. It's not worth it for me. I just throw on some waterproof mascara, curl the lashes up to jeezuz and throw a lil shimmer on my eyes for a 12 HR shift. The eventual fall out doubles as a highlight (bonus lol). And let's be real, it's always about 13-14 hours once its all charted and I drive home. I am usually falling apart by the end in every way. I dont feel like doing much once I get home either so honestly especially if I work 2-3 shifts in a row. So I just skip it all other than the mascara and chap stuck at least. I moisturize well, carry some chapstick or gloss with me and power through. I've never really worked a floor shift that didn't involve running in 5 directions at once, sweating to death at some point (then freezing to death when I finally sit down to chart), several isolation gowns and a mask when nessecary. It never fails if I pretty my self up too much that I'm going to walk in to a hell shift. So I just dont. I glam when I go out on days off. Love Tati and love this channel but I'm just not a full glam girl every day due to environmental hassel.

Coconut oil or any coconut derivative for skincare and makeup is comedogenic. Meaning it tends to clog pores. :( So i break out too especially since I have sensitive and acne prone skin. I tend to stay away from skincare and makeup that has coconut in them. Some skin types react beautifully to coconut though.

Hi Tati. Love your videos. Love it so much!!! I have a request: I am a guy who really interested in makeup ( infact you are the reason why. Like the way you giving a review of the product. Honest and thoroughly entertaining). So, could you please do a video about Makeup Starter Kits for Men (drugstore or high end) with the tutorial on men (maybe Taylor or James) that looks natural like no makeup makeup tutorial. Thank you so much. Appreciate it if you do it. ❤
@krystal90446 жыл бұрын
I think if you’re going for a natural look you should start with a sheer coverage foundation (like a cushion foundation or a bb cream), bronzer to contour your face and use as a natural looking eyeshadow, an eyebrow pencil, maybe a brown eyeliner and mascara :) I hope Tati makes a video on this!

I am a nurse like your sister (by the way I love how you talked in your video together about her. it was so sweet.) and NOTHING ever made my make up last longer during shifts. So I stopped wearing make up for such a damn long time. No powder, no setting spray, no long lasting foundation made me look okay at the end of the day (and i really mean just okay, not even trying to say great or something like that). And then I found JKissa (so late I know). And I started doing the same thing as her - skipped foundation, only wearing concealer and powder and setting sprays and whoop there I go. I basically look the same after the shift. Even if it was a really bad and exhausting day (like today for example). I know a lot of people do wanna wear foundation and even out their skin - but there are great concealers, and there are powders with a bit of coverage and in my opinion - and I have really tried a damn lot by now - it stays on better. Of course I am not saying THIS is the way to do it. I am just sharing my story, my experiences and I hope that at least one person will find that helpful in some way.

Just to let people know coconut is REALLY good for the skin if you don’t get breakouts. Tati gets breakouts because her skin is sensitive and coconut is harsh in a good way though since it’s natural. My skin isn’t sensitive and coconut oil is the healthiest thing if your skin isn’t sensitive. I just wanted people to know it’s not bad for your skin, and I have researched for about 5 years.
@PearlsBeforeDiamonds6 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to predict if coconut will break you out? I have dry skin with cystic acne so I feel like I wont be able to tell if it's the coconut oil or just a regular cystic breakout lol
@airelia40516 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t it clog pores?
@thisishersong6 жыл бұрын
joey zhao This wouldn’t exactly work bc with comedogenicity it might clog your pores a little bit over time. Blackheads for instance don’t form overnight but across days, weeks, months.
@avamarie70806 жыл бұрын
It actually depends. Most of the time coconut oil clogs oily skin.If you have oily skin it can also be beneficial because it absorb fast. The best way to know is doing research on your skin type. Coconut oil is good on most people’s skin but if you have sensitive skin do a patch test for a month or two.
