Cassandra! You beautiful butterfly….you are amazing and brilliant and I love the things you share to bring light to not only good skincare but also some awareness on the treatment of animals and more. But my dear…our earth….you need to educate yourself on the recycling of plastic. Many times you have talked about the benefits of this or that product packaging being recyclable….and it’s plastic. My dear…back in the 80s big oil dumped millions of dollars into promoting the recycling of plastic. And since has dumped millions and millions more. But here’s the thing…while yes, plastics are technically recyclable….it is not time or cost effective to recycle it. So….less than 10% of the works plastic actually gets recycled. Why? Big oil knows that if consumers think plastic is recyclable that we will be more apt to buy products in plastic. We will use it and then dump those water bottles and other plastic containers into our big blue recycling containers that the big recycling truck picks up. But then what? Well most of the plastic still goes to the dump. And big oil….guess what is needed to make new plastic? Oil. It’s so much more cost and time effective to make new plastic that companies buy new plastic and big oil has made BILLIONS off the millions they poured into convincing us to feel good about buying recyclable plastic when they knew it isn’t really going to get recycled. That’s why big oil invested in selling the whole concept. That’s why we believe it and….it works. But plastic is still not being recycled and it’s still winding up in landfills making up the majority of the trash there. Links for you to learn from: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5XOZIGFesyLbdE www.npr.org/2020/09/11/897692090/how-big-oil-misled-the-public-into-believing-plastic-would-be-recycled

Boots have their own lab and has been creating products since the thirties! Number 7 is their premiere line and their Retinol is amazing ( rated high with plastic surgeons!) ELF doesn’t get enough credit. Everyone always buys the overpriced skin care products from Barbara Stern or Chanel when they’re complete rubbish you’re just paying for the name. The thing that annoyed me about the ELF skincare line was that the packaging is very clearly designed to make you think you're getting more product than you are. Everything I have tried from the e.l.f. Holy Hydration line has been a total win for me. I'm 45 and have very sensitive, dry skin with rosacea so I've shied away from a lot of new products because too many have just caused flares or irritation and it's not worth the headache. But I tried the cleanser and was shocked at how good it was! Particularly for a foaming cleanser - didn't leave my skin feeling dry or stripped AT ALL. The cleansing balm is fantastic - even on waterproof mascara - and the skin cream (with and without SPF) are both part of my daily routine. It's just amazing to me how good this line is given how affordable it is! I also love how many of the products come in travel sizes too! I love being able to have my usual skin care routine when I travel in airport friendly sizes without having to go through the rigamarole of filling my own travel containers (which can be less sanitary and just plain messy!) I definitely stan. :) That being said, I'm definitely going to have to check out some of these other products! Thanks for always being both entertaining and transparent. If you recommend it, I know I can trust that it will be good.

Your advice on skincare products and knowledge on the ingredients and good skincare routine tips have helped me so much and knowing that there are are inexpensive options is amazing and has got me excited to try these! Also I am totally hoping and would totally love it if there will be a video on products that help with folliculitis and eczema or seborrheic dermatitis on the scalp and products that we can use on other parts of the body (if there aren't already some that's been made)! Love your videos Cassandra! Thank you for always bringing everyone amazing content!

No preference on what you test next but …. as a fellow rosacean (is that a word?) and also sensitive skin could you identify which products are BAD for us? I try and discard (read that: waste money) so many skin products. I know retinol is no go for me but don’t know what else to avoid. My dermatologist nurse practitioners are no help. Their answer is to use Vanicream but I’d like something a bit more fun and beneficial. So far L’Occitane gentle cream and Elemis marine cream don’t irritate my skin.

Snagged the ELF cleansing balm today. First impression- I really like it!!!! Glad I caught this video. Never thought I’d be a double cleanse person but this may change me.

When we're talking about basic skin care ingredients (like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, niacinamide, jojoba oil, collagens, retinol, etc), I wonder.... Exactly how important is brand/pricing? Like, how much can the quality vary between companies? Is a $60 vitamin E serum that much different than a $12 one? I remember seeing HA serum and collagen masks at Dollar Tree once and didn't know how to feel lol.

It really comes down to the science and ingredient quality that goes into every product imo, yes you can buy a $10 vitamin C but the question is is it stable? Is it good quality? How high on the ingredient list is it? All that goes into consideration when it comes to product development, formulation, effectiveness that determines the price.

The Frudia sunscreen can't be the same as the one from Stylvana, right? The FDA hasn't approved the filters. I guess it does have Titanium Dioxide, but I am very curious.

Cass!! You should try the NYX Bare With Me Priming SPF (spf 30)!! They're vegan and cruelty-free, and it's VERY comparable to the Black Girl Sunscreen. Highly recommend it!

Could you do a video on silicone free skin care? Im allergic (like swelling, breakouts, itchiness, redness and just general discomfort) and its really hard for me to find skin care that will not make me react.

God, I hate that Frudia SPF. It doesn't 'absorb' - it just lays on the skin and looks like you have extremely oily face (I have normal to combination skin). Would recommend using it only for those who has dry skin type. They also have a SPF specifically for oily skin (at least, I saw it at the stores in my country), but I didn't try it (was afraid of the same result).
