I experienced sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSHL) when I started Pristiq. A friend believes Pristiq was the cause because I believe they read ‘hearing loss’ was a rare side effect. I don’t believe this is the case however 🤷🏾‍♀️ Thoughts? Thank you

The saddest suicide ever occured back in 2021, Farhan T. who passed away at such a young age did mentioned himself using desvenlafaxine in the late 2010s and while he was happy to use it, it doesn't quite stop the suicidal ideation at least not as of now.

Question please I was on Zoloft for couple of months then I developed an intolerance to it so my doc switch me to pristiq It suppose to work immediately because i was on zoloft or it will take time to build up like Zoloft?

Depends on you. I'm very sensitive, but generally they say it takes a while.

I'm currently taking Pristiq, 50mg. I've been on it for a couple of months. So far it's been very effective in helping my depression (I actually got results in the first week). I used to get this feeling of hopelessness and despair in my stomach, but that's now gone. Although I feel a little flat, not getting excited or overly happy, I don't get the big lows anymore. The other side effect is sexual dysfunction. My desire for sex is almost nil, and it takes a long time to have an orgasm. I take Cialis to help with ED. At first I panicked and wanted to stop taking Pristiq, but I was told that sexual function will probably return to normal after I finish with the drug. Remaining sexually active and exercising will also help.

@@Alejandrogomez-xs3kp I'm sorry to hear that. What dosage were you on? I've been on 50mg for about four months. I still have some libido, but it takes a long time to reach orgasm.

@@nathanclark7235 también tomaba 50mg la tome por dos semanas y reduje la dosis en 2 semanas partiendo las pastillas con Guia de un psicólogo, probé welbutrin y es algo pasajero no es permanente la reversion, lamentablemente me llevo todo esto a una psicosis y me internaron y ya estoy con onlazapina y nuevamente Wellbutrin
