Great video. First in depth FC video I've come across. Only thing I would change is the talents, but it's all preference. I personally run 5/5 feral aggression over ferocity. If you're forced in to a 1v1 with a melee and you demo roar them it does seem to help reduce your incoming damage. I do stack Stam/Int gear some have plus healing, and Tank gear high stam/high armor. So I have a healthy mix of gear on my druid. Also, for me feral charge is a must! If I am getting beat on I'm immediately looking for another enemy I can charge to pull me as far out of the melee as possible, shift then run off with the flag and out of range. Great guide though. Good job. :)

Dont put cancel form in your shift macro because if you go to shift and don't have enough mana you'll be stuck out of form till you regen. Also prevents you from being able to spam it which is the whole point of having a "!" in the macro. Leaving that out will work just fine. #showtooltip /cast !Cat Form

Yes! Thanks for the comment - I ended up switching after posting this video mainly for PVE and will update the description. The only time a cancel aura might work is if someone has no mana but is stuck in an entangling roots or something that is a longer CC.. canceling your form might be worthwhile regardless of whether you can shift back into something for a little while or not. With that being said, someone can just hit their normal cat form key bind or manually right click cat form off (obviously not ideal) to do the same thing but these are very specific scenarios. Also, with something like the druid bar addon one should always be cognizant of how much mana they have and how much it costs to shapeshift. Some weakauras for SoD druid will have a number that notifies you how many more you have but I feel this isn't really necessary because it's not too difficult to just keep an eye on it.

I added modifiers to my power shift macro. It's spammable for power shifting, & the modifier just gets you out if Cat form. I'm not on my pc atm so I'm unsure if this formatting is correct but I think it is. #showtooltip /cast [nomod] !Cat Form /cast [modifier:control] Cat Form

Thank you man! Yes, you can use skull bash without being specced into feral charge. With that being said, as terrible as it feels to have only a 40% chance to get the rage/energy immediately upon shifting I think I've decided the immobilize and extra range is just too useful from feral charge so I've been using the 1-13-2 spec instead of 1-12-3 more often. The furor spec is better for when I want to do a bit of everything where a little more damage works (like say I'm playing with a premade that peels very well for me) just depends on the situation I guess..

I would reconsider furor talent, when you are powershifting your goal is to run from slows but furor goal is to dps when shifting, since you are running of the eagle stuff sta and intel, you are not using thid 40 energy well as your dps will be minimal. It does not affect the mana it cost. If any you would be able to stun in bear but only half the time so nos reliable either, i would put the points into armor or even improve the root % when melee hit. You have to consider that 10% armor is not just 10% of your leather gear, it is 10% of your gear then you multiply it by 200% or 300% whatever bear form gives so it would en up being a lot more mitigation than you might think.

Thanks for the comment! I do agree that I downplayed the damage mitigation. I also feel that it comes down to preferred play style and whether you’re solo queuing or running a premade with people who peel well. I’ve typically played a dps role throughout WoW’s history so any time I play another role, I prefer a more aggressive approach in terms of having more in my quiver to fight back if I’m alone - and also really prefer the chance of immediately being able to stun or feral charge/skull bash interrupt. At this level cap it of course is not ideal but I’ve always loved the fun possibilities/capabilities of a power shifting Druid and choose that style of play over being a bit tankier. Again, it’s all dependent on the scenario and I completely see where you’re coming from!

I know builds are personal preference but I disagree with not having furor. You should put two points in there for now. It can save you when you shift in to bear and need to bash, or okay, for example - if you are picking the flag and the enemy team is camping the flag room. Usually one person on their team will be near the exit to GY side. Pick the flag, shift bear, furor procs, charge that player, bash, boom! they just gave you an out. Swiftness pot (if needed) and haul ass to ramp, or GY. Whatever. (Don't take the same route, don't be predictable.) Also, If I'm in cat and a melee jumps me I can shift to bear and have rage to fight back if furor procs. The spec I am running right now to FC is 1/13/2. At 60 I'm pretty sure the spec will be the same it was in era when I was flag carrying. 7/13/31 and you take 5/5 furor. But, that remains to be seen with the runes we get in the next phases.

Lol! Yeah.. with all my alts I’m definitely starting to struggle. I accepted that I’ll be leveling in a dungeon group come phase 2 for the earlier levels so quests have been a decent form of income. Fishing can be lucrative as well but the spots are starting to get busier

Very true! 😁 Practice makes perfect with these so it's tough having to practice in the middle of a game.. You're either a detriment to your teammates in solo queue or have to have a solid premade where you have the extra time to mess around and still win. Regardless, it doesn't take too long to get the hang of most of them and once you have them in your arsenal your teammates will be happy lol. Thanks for the kind words - glad I was able to help out.

Practice in ghost, you have a small movement speed increase similar to cat form, so its perfect to practice. Unless yoy are nelf. Then its too fast i usually practice when in a pug facing premades with no chance of winning

Fine, the secret is lifebloom wild growth and damage reduction chest. Go cat speed w/ natures grasp. I pugged on horde to exhalted wsg 4 hours a day for 5 days. I even beat some of the streamer premades on alliance. ( yes I lost a lot as well vs premades ) health mana swiftness free action pots. Swiftster shall remain another annoying FC drood to premades. What’s great now is I’m exhalted so I just do it to slow them down. Lol

Definitely a solid build, especially for solo queuing. With premade v premade and hunters being so prevalent I like sunfire for the ranged damage to daze those who chase w aspects of the cheetah. My play style this phase is also more geared towards being able to put out some reasonable damage and not only be optimized for running away/survivability with HoTs. When more gear, talent and trinket options are available, a lot more opens up for druids so I’m looking forward to try things out like healing weapon swap for life bloom or wild growth macros similar to what feral dps in TBC arenas were doing (think spottman) and items like skull of impending doom being utilized to get out of CC. Hitting exalted today as well with the ashenvale event reset and starting the rogue rev-exalted grind soon after 😅

Why savage roar tho? It does not effect sunfire, starsurge or lifebloom for BGs for sure. Survival of the fittest over wild strikes also

I swap my gear/runes out in real time dependent on the situation. SOTF is the chest piece I use most of the time when carrying the flag, Wildstrikes if I want to join the early teamfight and have a melee heavy group / want to deal some additional damage when I'm confident I have the backing of a healer etc. If I need to kill someone vs running away I opt for savage roar because 30% increase in physical damage output is very nice and can definitely be used with Sunfire (like with Ghamoo-ra parses in PVE). Otherwise I swap for skull bash if there are enemy casters.

@@Liam1536In the video it's protectors band -- If we're talking solely FCing, Plains Ring is BIS but it's expensive so any "of the eagle" rings will do. You could also opt for something like the lavishly jeweled ring from deadmines for the 6 int and 2 agi.

I pointed out that I swap talents often. When I recorded this vid I had been playing with a premade and hadn’t lost a single game all day + had BFD buff for speed so I swapped out for additional points in furor to enjoy myself with more damage from power shifting. It all depends on the player and comp and that’s all mentioned in the vid. Feral dps vid in the works which shows how effective druids can be with solely PVE spec in PvP

sure i mean the video is pretty great and i even learned a few things of it. if there is a pve aspect i totally get it but wiht respect costs personally ide just go the real pve build but to each their own. Just missing out on a 25 yard movement ability in a movement lacking portion of the game (the 25 bracket) just feels bad for 10% chance of resource gain. Also one thing to mention toughness scales with bear form also and is multiplicative. so its actually a fuck ton of armor but both choices are good there for diff reasons@@Severingo

I see where you’re coming from. I‘ve played primarily horde since 2006 as well - having done it for so long I wanted to play alli for SoD. Currently leveling up a sham for phase 2 on another server though and the defiler’s tabard from AB coming up is calling me to level up my longtime main of undead rogue but I did it all in original classic, 2019 classic and then again in era so we’ll see.
