8:04 I completely agree with you on this point Joe. This has been a common problem for many editions of 40K. When force organisation charts where a thing competitive players would take minimal, un-upgraded troops units to fill the troops choice requirements of the force organisation chart. Many say that GW should try to make troop choices/battleline units more appealing/worth taking, however it seems that GW have not managed it in 8 Editions. I personally feel that the same approach to that of warhammer fantasy 8th edition and Warhammer Old World should be applied to 40K. A percentage of total army points needs to be spent on battleline units when mustering an army, say 20% of the the army’s total points must be spent on battleline units. In order to allow for greater army design and imagination this restriction could be applied at detachment level, and not necessarily to all detachments. For example for the Ork detachments the following could be applied: Bully boyz: -When fielding this detachment in an incursion or strike force battle size, this detachment may only include one unit with the warboss keyword. Kult of speed -When fielding this detachment Warbikers units gain the battleline keyword. -When fielding this detachment in an incursion or strike force battle size, this detachment may only include one unit with the warboss keyword. Da big hunt -When fielding this detachment a minimum 20% of your army’s total points must be spent on Beast snagga boyz units. -When fielding this detachment in an incursion or strike force battle size, this detachment may only include one unit with the warboss keyword. Dread Mob -When fielding this detachment a minimum 20% of your army’s total points must be spent on battleline units. -When fielding this detachment in an incursion or strike force battle size, this detachment may only include one unit with the warboss keyword. Green Tide -When fielding this detachment a minimum 20% of your army’s total points must be spent on battleline units. -When fielding this detachment in an incursion or strike force battle size, this detachment may only include one unit with the warboss keyword. War horde -When fielding this detachment a minimum 20% of your army’s total points must be spent on battleline units. -When fielding this detachment in an incursion or strike force battle size, this detachment may only include one unit with the warboss keyword. With similar restrictions applied to all detachments accross the other codexes for 10th Ed.

9:19 Now in today’s Ad-Mec grot-mas stream I left a comment stating the following; “If Brom’s Ork army, tonight, has only 1 warboss and about 50+ Ork boyz he may have a biscuit and a gold star sticker for being a good boy. If Joe’s army has multiple Arcons, Succubus and/or Haemonculus, and/or has less than 400 points spent on battleline units, beat him with a belt.” Sadly no biscuit and gold star sticker for Brom, and Liam…….get the belt.
