"PAV" means Pavlíček. (Pavlitcheck) That is the name of gunsmith who designed and produced this gun. I guess first piece was made before WWII or shortly after. There are if I remember well three versions of this gun. Difference is only in lenght of barrel. One time i saw in a gunshop the whole set of three. Longest barrel was about 40cm long. You have got probably that middle one. It was very popular simple inexpensive durable gun for everybody. You have got good taste. This gun knows nobody now.

Famae is excellent, Bren may be better depending of your style. If you like older, cold-war classics, try the Famae.
