Loved that, Mr AF fellow. Learned a lot about my new purchase.

i'm still not clear on how to actually export my own samples to the SD card , the TR6S is not showing up as a destination on my Mac the same way the TR8 apparently does with a USB connection , waht am i doing wrong ? :) thx
@afrohamurai3 жыл бұрын
The TR-6S doesn’t work as an SD card reader for the computer, if you use either the SD slot built in to your computer or a USB SD card reader it should be all good 👍🏾

LFO on the FM Morph, if that is possible, I'm gonna try it!

Very helpful, thank you. I agree it's shocking Roland didn't provide a CR78 samples/kit with all it's other classics in the TR-6S/8S. Have you made your own CR78 kit? I'd love to see a video on that. I'm struggling to find a list of all the sounds on that unit, so not sure what I'll need to make one for my TR8S.

Worth mentioning that upgrading to the 2.00 firmware adds cr78 acb instruments

Excellent! The most in-depth tutorial on sound design with the TR-6S I've found thus far. I'm really looking for a hard comparison between the TR-6S and the Model:Cycles/Samples, as that seems to be the only real contender. Of course the ACM synth engine is unique to Roland. My general impression is that the sound creation capabilities of the TR-6S is superior, but the workflow of the Elektron Model series is better. So a tough choice really...

Thank you! I think the decision comes down to if you want/use the Roland drum machines enough that having good emulations of them as opposed to samples is what you want. I don't have a use for a sampler just because I tend to use my DAW for most of it, so if I were to pick between the Cycles and Samples I'd go for the samples, but that's just my opinion.

Nice tutorial! Can you set panning on a per step level within a track, or just on the track level? I like to place hats in different places in the stereo field and alternate the placement in variation patterns. Thanks!
@afrohamurai2 жыл бұрын
You could probably use motion step by step? That would be the best way I would think to do it

Hey man, great tutorial! Can you say to me please - is it possible to chain more than 6 sounds at one time? for example, two variations playing in one time?
@afrohamurai3 жыл бұрын
Not that I can see - you could technically load two different kits in different patterns and chain those instead of variations, but within one pattern the variations use the same 6 sounds
@NatLifeSounds3 жыл бұрын
@@afrohamurai that's bad( I thought it was realized here, so now I'm thinking how to be, or use it with VST/AU drum machines or add mc707 for example for getting maximum drums from hardware

Is there any way to put Reverb and Delay on a single sound???
@afrohamurai3 жыл бұрын
Not that I saw, the only way to “maybe” do it is to turn off all of the delay and reverb sends on the other sounds so you’re only sending one sound to the Kit’s reverb

Can the TR-6S do note probability/chance? Can't find anything about that but it's a pretty basic drum machine function so I'm sure it can. I've all over mine though and I can't it :/
@afrohamurai3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it has that from looking at it - that’s the one thing that the TR-06 has that I wish this had as well :(

those faders are making me think this might be a good performance tool. looking for my first drum synth and im looking at the uno. conversely i might just dive in and get a digitakt rather than upgrade. but this seems to have a lot of depth for its price bracket. subbed the channel though, excellent in depth video.

I’ve been able to use it so much for stuff on its own, as well as with my other synth. It’s really fun to use 😀
