Lifelong fan. it seems like the audio from the speaking mic got lost? Or the clinics were filmed with only the speaking mics and the level not adjusted in the editing between the speaking and the playing? none of which changes my opinion that this is the best drum channel on the web:)

@@dsanders799 Bro, race didn't have anything to do with it and no one in this thread commented on how much "better" Matt was than anyone else. Matt knows what he's talking about and he was also doing a lot of in depth explaining. He'd been teaching for at least 5 years at that point. He was breaking down and communicating concepts and ideas to a higher degree than the average drummer. Regardless of skills, race or anything else, fact of the matter is that none of the other drummers could clearly and concisely explain what it was that they were doing consistently. That doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with them, that's just not an area where they thrive, but they were willing to do it for the sake of the rest of us who've been watching them and trying to learn from them. Trying to teach someone is not something that you can just jump into and automatically know exactly what to say or do. It takes practice and experience, and everyone, regardless of ability level, is not automatically a good teacher.

They gave Matt the most time in this vid for a reason. Every other dude in this vid says, "it goes like this so do it". Matt is the only guy that goes in depth in what he wants to teach people and every other dude just teaches like they assume everyone gets it naturally. Hate D-bags like that. Garstka is the man

Randall Reekstin teaching is not an easy thing man. You got to repect that. Matt is teaching since a long time ! well more than the other guys i presume and it's maybe one of the first time for them. Teaching is an art don't forget that, You don't learn how to teach something like you're brushing you teeth, it takes time !

Randall Reekstin they're all pretty straight forward concepts that are easy to catch.

Phenomenal players, terrible teachers, save for that one guy near the end, he breaks it down nicely. Also whoever was doing the mic work why are the voices so super quiet?

Great video, but a much better sound mix is needed. The kit needs more bottom end to it, and the cymbals are too sharp and cutting, snare doesn't sound bad but the toms and especially the kick need more bottom/bass, but other than that, an awesome video, and thanks to all for your input. God Bless.
