What a monster. Has to be a top 3 guy I’ve seen in terms of chops and control. I also really appreciate the no-nonsense traditionalist jazz drumming approach that he’s taking to the absolute limit. He’s such a different flavor of the 2022 super-drummer. And he’s as talented as any of his peers.

I saw a reference to this scene in an unexpected place the other day, on the kids TV show Teen Titans Go. There was a talent show, and Robin was the teacher, and Beastboy was the drummer. It was clearly supposed to be Whiplash. Not sure which kids were supposed to get the reference, mine certainly didn't, but I appreciated it.
