I‘m autistic (plus ADHD) and I definitely need to soak up the basics of drumming. Beats and drumming songs are no problem (except complex songs of course), but the basics definitely show me how much of an absolute beginner I still am. It always feels like I‘m playing drums for the very first time 😢 But I was told that I need to learn the basics to be able to drum freely and to be able to improvise.
