Why would you bother with a load of looped audio. You dont need audio to reduce the release. Id say if youre using 909s its much more powerful and flexible to use the Ableton 909 drum pack which is native. All of the controls can then be automated easily and it sounds amazing

Very true. I’ve tried both but audio is just my preference. You can utilize the drum rack and get the same result.

@@croco.nationI've never understood why people choose bounced down audio over synths and midi track, because you lose so much potential, expression and sound control that you get with an instrument. All that goes the second you bounce to audio and you have to manage all of the separate samples.

Bruh, some producers like to print audio or use it to commit and get the track finished. It’s all about workflow. There’s no right or wrong, both have advantages and disadvantages. Use what gets the job done for you.
