Maybe!!! It's kind of an odd kit. Can be great in the studio I'm sure, but now that I've got one after wanting one my whole life, and got it in the studio, let's just say it kind of finicky, and a challenge to get sounding great, especially the kick. I can see why they probably went to different shell recipee's, but obv the OG is still a great kit, it's just a different experience, and tougher to dial in than a lot of kits. I def need more time with it.

Guys im a Sonor player. Where does a Pearl Refrence series kit stand in the order of quality? Im not familiar with Pearl, but i see they have a bunch of series in their arsenal. I think Masterworks is their pinnacle???

masterworks, reference, and Masters series kits are all Flagship lines. The Reference and masters series kits use the same materials in the masterworks line its just less custom options.
