My comment lands some 8 years after the posting but better late than never. I am utterly amazed and blown away, having since 1975 seen various Yes line-ups play this. How these youngsters can learn this and deliver it to such perfection is unbelievable. I was in local bands for many years as a guitarist (now retired) but that guitarist here is stunning - he plays the whole song with such ease. Credit to every other performer too. I watched right to the end and was only disappointed that they didn't get a standing ovation instead of being rushed off the stage by the next band. Once again, utterly brilliant.

@George Robartes I'm still pissed at Rick lol. I covered the Six Wives excerpts twice at school shows while in high school in the late 70s, and my band performed Close to the Edge in 79. So needless to say, I was a major Rick fan. Then in 84, Rick did a gig in Windsor, Ontario the same year my band won the WRIF Detroit battle of the bands. The whole band went to see Rick at this venue with an audience of only 400 people. All the staffers promised we'd have a chance to meet Rick after the show, but he boogied out of there the instant he left the stage. Arrgh! The closest thing I got to revenge was when Keith Emerson's engineer opined that I was a better keyboard player than Rick. I'm not, but it sure felt good to hear lol.

Mitch Aunger You know what?? I turned my kids onto great music. Even got my 2nd born son an acoustic guitar but he ignored it. I gave him his space yet continued to expose him to music. Had to let my children have their own path. Now, that same child is a multi instrumentalist in a band called Sherry Drive. They released an album called Fly where he plays keys and does the scream parts vocally. They also do a cover of a song called Starboy and do it better (in my opinion) than the original. He the one playing bass with the ball cap on backward doing the background vocals. It didn't matter to me what path or interest he chose but surprised the hell out of me and first chose the military, then chose music.
@mikedrennan83036 жыл бұрын
To add to it, each child is gifted in their own way. Never expected this child to choose music but it happened. I had to allow him his space to choose his own destiny. If he chose something different, as long as it was productive, I would have supported him anyways.

You need to stop it cause you want to be critical when you don't know what you're talking about. Let me ask you all a question. Where were you musically at that age???

Mike Brennan, I agree with you. The lead vocalist has been a little bit unfairly criticized - though I will say that Jon Anderson and Chris Squire are a vocally very hard act to follow (especially on this song).
