I've watched several of these videos and, in my opinion, this is the most entertaining one. Chad Smith is incredibly talented and hilarious. I really enjoyed his work with the super group Chickenfoot (Smith, Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, and Joe Satriani)

Chad is a fantastic drummer and always was; he is the GOAT! I had seen this before so it’s no surprise to me how well he did with it! I did really enjoy this 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I told you that you would like it! And as you probably already know, typically the guest drummer runs through the song a few times charting it out. Not Chad Smith,30 seconds into it he he just comes in swinging. great reaction ✌

Some people just "Have It!" (Chad). If you haven't figured out by now, almost all my comments will reference YOYOKA in some fashion...lol Chad is one of her favorite drummers, that she respects and admires. What I find interesting in YOYOKA's play, and something I see with most of the female drummers from Japan, is that they play at this level, yet always make it look so smooth and effortless. Chad, as do most drummers, always look like they are struggling. I'm only talking about their motions, not their ability to play. This obviously is not difficult for him to play. YOYOKA is so efficient that she rarely sweats, or shows any signs of tiredness, and never looks like she is struggling. Might look bored sometimes. I heard someone say the other day, forget who it was, I think it was BANDMAID, might have been LOVEBITES, but apparently they did a 4 hour concert (maybe only once). Who does that! lol But efficiency, I'm sure has something to do with it. You will see this when you get to LOVEBITES, where most of their songs are 140-200 BPM. Haruna (Nickname for this 4'10" BEAST!: "Little Big Engine") is just smiling away, and almost all the time looks like it just simply easy for her. They start hard and never let up. She never misses a blast beat from beginning to end.

I can tell from your comments that you are either a drummer or have (or have had) a serious level of involvement in the music game. Care to share?

@@RockandRollRelic I was afraid I was already sharing too much, as all my comments are always very long.....lol Anyway, thank you for your compliment. Actually the complete opposite. Uh, I listen to music. I simply want to share the joy that someone like YOYOKA (and Japanese Female Bands) bring to me, with people who love music, but have no idea how awesome these Japanese girls are, and what they are missing. Setting them on a path of happiness, if you would. American music sucks right now. I don't like their attitude. American Musician: "Look at me I'm a rock star". Japanese Female Musician: Who just completed the performance of a lifetime, melted your face and exploded your brain. "Thank you for listening. I hoped you liked it and we will try to do better next time." I have actually heard them say these things. You will see when you get to BANDMAID and LOVEBITES. So 4-5 years ago, I was watching top performances for America's Got Talent on YT. In the sidebar I see the video of YOYOKA that went viral. I clicked on that and the rest is a long history. I read the comments of others who know what they're talking about and listen to competent musicians, like yourself, that know music. Then I make the assumption that when 20 people say YOYOKA is one of the best drummers they have seen in 30years, that they must know what they're talking about. Then I repeat it. I try to be careful what I say, so I don't look like an idiot just repeating random stuff. I do feel my comments actually have value and have never had anyone really think that my recommendations weren't awesome. But that's because of the awesome talent these girls have, nothing to do with me. Little factoid: First concert I attended in my life was Silk Sonic in Las Vegas. YOYOKA and father (Aki) were home staying with me. They said they wanted to go to the concert. I bought them and two of their friends tickets and we all went. I got to meet Anderson.paak backstage (because of YOYOKA). One of the most fun things I've done in my life. I rented a studio for YOYOKA to practice, got to watch that, super cool. They come up to me one morning and say, nonchalantly, "We are supposed to meet a 9 y.o. bassist at their home studio. Can you drive us there?" I had offered to take them anywhere, anytime. Come to find out it's 1.5 miles from my house. Then this happened. Got to meet ELLEN (EllenPlaysBass), who has more YT followers than YOYOKA. Attended the recording session for this "Led Zeppelin - The Ocean (Cover) by Ellen, Eva, Mateo and YOYOKA" kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZbdmWiPZtaoqsU (You want to get to this one sometime). And have remained friends with her father. Anyway, thanks again for your kind compliments. If I repeat myself just ignore it, it's hard to remember after a while who I told what. You are going to have so much fun once you get sucked down the Japanese female Band rabbit hole.Bye Scotty!

Gene Hoglan is another drummer that's really got the whole "ripping a difficult piece to shreds but looking bored while doing it" thing down :P He has a video of him playing "The Philosopher" by Death on youtube and I noticed that while he was going through the song.
