E-Sarn was cleaner, more entertaining, and made more musical sense. Very fun and classy too with the ending. Respect.
@nightify42667 жыл бұрын
LucidDream hmm, the general consensus seems to be that they weren't as clean but were more interesting and had more contrast throughout
@JoshOnGuitar11 жыл бұрын
Mandarins were cleaner, E-Sarn presented a more dynamic and interesting product. So I'm kinda torn between the two.

The winner of a drumline isn't necessarily which one plays better, but which one gets more reaction from the crowd and can pump everyone up
@Oridux4 жыл бұрын
DCI disagrees. Rudiments always show how well players perform, though to be fair, E-Sarn played some pretty dope licks.

Oridux yes, but drumline battle is all about who gets more hype, kind of a bad way of scoring In my opinion.

E-Sarn showed that clean music is not the only component in drumline battle
@Mike.kronos3 жыл бұрын
E-Sarn = Drumline battle performers When it comes to drumline battle it means you have to perform like drum corps but only battery. Esarn made an example of drumline battle just like the movie 'drumline' .
E sarn Was all traditional. Thailand But when mandarins came out and sounded like cavemen. I thought it was traditional for where they came from. Until it said California I thought it was kinda embarrassing

The difference is e san have playing conductor (play little gong) who erect the mood and groove of the group. Its the traditional southeast asian way of percussion play. In the other hand the mandarin didnt have the similar tradition. They used to play the synch, which ironically against the traditional western music, which commonly have non playing conductor.
Topher Stott lol....it doesnt matter how long ago you said it....mandarins and the word "cool" never go together.....also, im pretty sure SCV has the best cymbal lines.
Asian countries usually better in terms of creativity but most are not clean but still entertaining when on drumline battles. Check out TWMC 2013, MWBC 2013, JOMC 2013 or 2014, or just search Batteryheadz Percussion or Voice of Percussion or. Clumsy Rhythm

i guess since mandarins wont be winning any drum trophies anytime soon, they can spend more time trying to come up with some drum battle routines.....though they dont seem to be too good at these either....
