Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse.🦊🤘🌐 Is nice to see reactors coming back to hear BM new songs. Just like you noticed at the end, there's a previous single called "Divine Attack - Shingeki", kindly take a look on that to get a clear picture of this new upcoming 4th album called "The Other One", and get ready for "METAL KINGDOM" next along with a live performance in January 28 - 29, two more singles left and later they will join Sabaton's Europe Tour as a special guests, this year is gonna be awesome for BM fans. They're probably using the Norse mythology, Yggdrasil (the Tree Of Life) as the Aogiri tree, one of the survivor tree in Hiroshima, and the monochrome fireworks altogether along with more references as a metaphor, once you know where SuMetal was born it all makes sense. But instead of drown in negativity she's giving us hope that if a war or any other sad moment (like the recent pandemic) is happening nowadays, the colors will be back.☔☀️🌈 We all know so far that this time they're introducing us to their metalverse with 10 different worlds and songs, and we're gonna see the full picture once the full album is out, probably some more hints with the next singles coming and the live performance this January. Nice one, thanks! Yes, they are back and they have released three digital singles so far from their new concept album, "The Other ONE": "Metal Kingdom", "Divine Attack" and "Monochrome". "Monochrome" is a really beautiful and emotional song with really dark references to the end of the world and this lyric video depicts a post apocalyptic situation, not to mention the nuclear blasts, etc. The whole lyrics seem to be a huge allegory formed by a number of metaphors with several layers of significance. But in the end, they wanted to give an optimistic message with the tree in colors and the last lines: "We will illuminate the world in rainbow colors. Just smile." See you later!

Welcome back. BABYMETAL never put out a lyric video before so I'm thinking they really want us to know what they are singing so we can decide what the song means (as ever it is open to interpretation of course and we will all have our own thoughts, which is not a bad thing) ... and the visuals on lyric videos are never like they are on the official video, they mean something too. The general consensus is there are also many references to the bombing of Hiroshima (Su-metal's home town) and Nagasaki, even if it is not specifically about those tragic events. The "monochrome firework" could be the bomb and the tree they used in the visuals throughout and that was finally shown in colour at the end could be the Hiroshima Peace Tree that survived the bombing as well as the tree of life from Norse mythology.
