Classic FB reaction. DDR is the short for Dance Dance Revolution, a dance emulator videogames very famous after 2000 at arcades and some consoles, the setlist is almost entirely full of Hi-NRG and Jpop songs (just like Iine!) usually girls love to dance with the Para Para style (the girls also do some dance moves during the song), there was another dance emulator very famous outside of Japan called Pump It Up that comes from South Korea but the setlist is mostly with K-pop songs and instrumental songs exclusive for the game usually with high BPM just like DDR songs. 1:15 Btw the cute blonde girl you saw there is Lia Marie Johnson, a YT celebrity, actress and singer, she took some bad decisions and end up being ax...busxd by her producer in every way, she did a video called "This is my story" explaining this, you won't recognize her, she looks way different today, fortunately she's fine now and with someone who actually love her. Her story make me realize how lucky are our girls with producers like KobaMetal taking care of them like their own daughters. Anyway keep enjoying this variety videos, there's plenty of more, can't wait for you to reach the frog pit.🦊🤘🐸

I went to their concert in Minneapolis, MN in September. They put on such a good show. I encourage anyone into them to go if they have a chance. It's worth it.

My son saw them in Philly a couple weeks back. He sent me a picture without saying where he was and I knew immediately! He loved their show. He said the choreo was incredible!!

Thanks for this reaction. 1:54 to bad they never did, I believe Suzuka/Su-metal is a fan of Pentatonix. Pentatonix did release a video an other group by the same company Babymetal is part of, I always wondered if they contacted them, but were not sure how to do what they do with metal music... and thus ended up with a different collaboration ?? 4:03 yes, sort of.. Babymetal started as metal, but these young ladies already had a bunch or some experience with J-Pop, so that's why they mentioned it. As much as they might look a bit like angels, they didn't fall from the sky. Babymetal started when they were 11 years old (Yui/Yuimetal and Moa/Moametal) and 12 years old (Suzuka/Su-metal). Moa was the least experienced, she did child modeling, etc. since she was 8. The other 2 also did similar things, but they also did: Yui was a child actress, she started at age 6. Suzuka modeled diapers when she 3. Did modeling, etc. since 5. Did a musical at some point and was part of a J-Pop group. So yeah, Suzuka almost has 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry before Babymetal got started. Being in the spotlight is pretty much like second nature to them. And you can see it when Babymetal perform on stage, their is a quality to them, something more than stage presence. They don't just own the stage, for that moment they perform they own the building, We as fans/viewers are their guests. Their are huge and important venues in Japan where Babymetal has now performed over 10 times. And important venues around the world Babymetal has already performed more than ones, but sometimes as an opening act and sometimes their own show. How can I put it into words ? Maybe best to give an example, in the last 6 years or, it feels like Su-metal sees every audience almost like a new toy. Seeing how to get reactions out of them and how to make them do a circle pit, etc. 🙂 I think that shows how comfortable they are on stage. Metal might be best, but I think Japan has figured out: you can take a lot of things from other genres and mix it up in new ways, something which Babymetal is a great example of.

Just saw them last night in Las Vegas. Amazing high energy show. Su sounded amazing. Momoko and Moa were adorable as always. Caught some cute Moa moments on video. The Vegas crowd was awesome. Can't wait to see them again in Los Angeles on the 11th. 🤘🦊🤘

Oh I forgot, probably they were talking about reality shows on US TV such those from MTV they were kinda popular around the world around those years, also the funny compilation and clips of gags or people having accidents, those types of footage aren't so usual in Japanese TV, not sure about now, but this is mostly my guess, I'm not so avid Japanese TV viewer.😅

Nice reaction. Babymetal started out as a subunit of Sakura Gakuin a Jpop group based on school life. Back then they were the heavy music club. That soon became Babymetal and a couple of years later when they grew their fan base and convinced Amuse they were worth the effort. Babymetals first album came out in 2014. After watching these videos I wanted other bands to do this. It would be very interesting to see. and now I wish Babymetal would do this again. They have grown so much since then as a group and literally. Ok Su might be the same height. Moa definitely taller. Maybe when their next album comes out, we can get a version of this with Momoko. Babymetal always giving us something to look forward to. Enjoy the journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music.
