Babymetal are Japan's most internationally successful musical export, and are probably most unique band in the world. Babymetal blends chugging metal riffs with cute J-pop vocals, dance, and aesthetics to create a fusion they call "kawaii metal" (cute metal). Although you may not have heard of them before, they have been performing since 2010, when they were 12, 10, and 10 years old respectively. They have released four studio albums and thirteen live albums, toured all around the world (including currently) and collaborated with many huge names in metal. I was lucky enough to see all three of their shows in Australia this past week and they were as fantastic live as they always are.

I've been a musician and a concert version for around 25+, and yeah - have seen 1000s of concerts in every genre you can name. Babymetal is immediately in my top 5, or 3, and might be the actual best act you can see live, in any country. It's just that fucking good, it's everything you love about live music + spectacle + hooks + dancing, and shouldn't exist in the first place. And they give it 110% every time, I never get tired of watching their shows.

They could easily have ended up as what they were at the start, some gimmick sideproject of one of Japans 10000 Idol groups, but Producers noticed they had something more there and didn't half-ass it, getting them the best Band support possible and good writing.

Zappa always had unbelievable sound and surprisingly low volume. It sounded loud, but I turned to make a comment to my GF and found I was shouting way too loud. But agree. The band I was in back in the 80s,| we always brought our own sound engineer to gigs, counted her as the sixth member of our band, the unsung heroine. When that wasn't possible we always bought the sound engineer a drink. It stood us in good stead. Too many bands take the sound engineers for granted.

This is not your typical asian metal: Babymetal invented its own genre! They are a fusion of Pop and Metal, so you will find songs that go more towards the metal side (like this one) and others that go more towards the Pop side, like "Gimme Chocolate", their most famous song! My favourite one? "Iine" official MV, it's such a fun song xD And it brings you in completely unexpected directions!

The lead singer was 16 years old roughly in the video you reacted to. The other girls were 14-15. Lead singer is Su-Metal, dancer primarily to left of Su is Moa-Metal, to the right is Yui-Metal. Yui left in 2018. April 2023 they announced the birth of a new Metal. Momo-Metal. They are now Su 25 years old, Moa 23-24 years old, Momoko 20 years old. The original hit was Gimme Chocolate. Many good ones to watch: Syncopation, Karate, Megitsune (when they were young). Dusk till dawn, just a few. They have been around for 10 years. Monochrome and Monochrome piano version.

So let me chose at least the top three from every of their studio albums: "BABYMETAL" - Rondo fo Nightmare - Megitsune - Ijime, Dame, Zettai "Metal Resistance" - Tales of the Destinies - Syncopation - GJ! "Metal Galaxy" - Shine - Night Night Burn - Shanti Shanti Shanti "The Other One" - Metalizm - Maya - Mirror Mirror And, by the way, if you ask for a top 20 you, probably, will get a different list from every fan you ask...

Japanese Kawaii Metal. Been around for over a decade. They’ve performed for Sabaton, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lady Gaga, Guns N Roses. Collaborating with Dragonforce, Bring Me The Horizon, Polyphia, Sabaton. Kawaii Metal …. A sub-genre of Metal music that they themselves created and which others have attempted to emulate. Their fanbase is called The One. Kitsunes, Japanese for Fox, dominates their lore. The backing band in concerts is called the Kami Band, Gods Band. Japanese members are some of the best session musicians in Japan. There are American members who tour with the girls on more recent international shows. Original three members are.. Su-Metal who is lead vocals. With Yui-Metal and Moa-Metal providing most of the choreography and backup vocals. Yui-Metal retired from the band. Momo-Metal was officially announced as the newest member this year.

Welcome to the happiest place in Metal! 🦊🤘 I discovered them last year and it was a life changing event. BABYMETAL is very unique because they are a "metal sing and dance unit" and they were already world class performers in their early teens. Their music is amazing and no two songs of theirs sound the same. I can't possibly name my favorite song because almost all of them are great. Their live shows are second to none in the rock/metal genre. There is so much to appreciate and learn about this group, but I won't go into the details because I'm sure others have already done so. 🙂

"We are .... BABYMETAL!"🦊 Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊 This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su was 17, Yui and Moa only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (actually several walls of death at that concert as the crowd were in sections. A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits). They don't just do concerts, they do whole performances and put on a show ... and the audience is always a big part of the performance. This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. Herman Li and Sam Totman from British power/speed metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. BABYMETAL are pretty much unique in that they invented their own genre and nobody has been able to do what they do (some have tried, none came close). They are Su-metal (lead vocalist), Moametal and since the start of April this year Momometal (backing vocals, harmonies but mainly in charge of dance, leading the audience, getting everybody involved and joining in). The third original member, Yuimetal, sadly left the band in October 2018 having been absent from the stage for the previous 12 months. She had ongoing (and undisclosed) health issues. After Yui left Su and Moa continued as a duo through to their 10th anniversary and a bit beyond for the next 4-5 years, supported from 2019 by 3 dancers (the Avengers Riho, Kano and Momoko) taking turns dancing in the third spot. Momoko was the only remaining Avenger from about March 2020 and was finally revealed as the official new third member on 1st April this year. They started in 2010 as a sub-unit of a school themed J-Pop Idol group called Sakura Gakuin which was set up by the Amuse talent agency as a way to coach and train about a dozen of the most talented girls on their books in all aspects of entertainment (singing, dancing, acting, modelling, writing, stage management etc) with a view to their choosing how they would like to continue their career when they were at school leaving age (15 in Japan). In 2013 Su would be 15 and would graduate from Sakura Gakuin (having the school theme it was for girls aged 10 to 15), but it was decided that BABYMETAL should be her vehicle as she furthered her career as a vocalist and should separate from the Idol group to go with her as an independent band in their own right. BABYMETAL have gone on to become one of the very best live bands on the planet (and have won international awards to prove that is not just my opinion). Their big arena shows are spectacular, but they put on great shows every time, even in smaller venues and festivals as they tour the world where they can't always have all the special effects and flames etc too. The instrumentalists are called the Kami Band. Kami means god or spirit, so they are the gods of guitar bass and drums summoned from the dead to support BABYMETAL in their live concerts - which is why they were in traditional white burial robes and corpse face paint. Since late 2017 their robes are black and since 2019 the corpse face was replaced with masks (everybody prefers the face paint). The Kami Band are among the very best session musicians to be found in Japan, each one of them a world class musician. They all have their own bands and projects so when one is not available another musician will step in. There have been many Kami Band members over the years, but the same hard core of about 6 musicians have played the vast majority of shows - in this video you saw Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. Since 2019 the Kami Band of the West (American musicians Chris Kelly, CJ Masciantonio, Clint Tustin and Anthony Barone) have supported BABYMETAL on the lengthy foreign tours. Try 'Catch Me If You Can' live at Budokan Black Night (make sure it is that version and not one of the compilations using clips from different concerts - you will also be treated to an instrumental intro from the Kami Band in this one) for your next reaction.

Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's journey 🦊🤘🔥 I'm glad to see more reactors getting into this group in such a special moment with the girls recently finished part of the World Tour in Asia and Australia, before this they were in Europe as part of the Sabaton's Tour and everyone enjoyed this song in all of their setlist, is a song they don't wanna miss. BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute), mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms, they are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist. *MoaMetal* scream and dance. *YuiMetal* scream and dance, former member since 2018. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 20 and is the new official member since April 1st recently. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. _Road Of Resistance_ is a power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce, and is all about facing your own path without looking back. The wall of death is nuts just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015 series of concerts, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, is the last song of the encore they performed and finishing the show. By this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The Kami Band here are magnificent set of elite musicians who were send to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (specially the guitarrists), all of them are males. BM fans love some members of this band but none of them are official members of this group not even permanent, they only play live, so when you hear album tracks remember they aren't playing there. In this case they are: - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording certain songs. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly past away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar or golden in other moments. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japanese music scene. At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to making them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed to X-Japan saying it at live concerts too. If you like this type of metal genre then you're gonna love another previous song from first album called *"Ijime Dame Zettai"* live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 and witness a precious and epic moment on their career. You can find that clip in the official channel but just be careful coz sometimes is getting blocked issues. My favorite BM song rotates so i can only recommend you to keep listen their songs and find your own favorite, try with this next: - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997 held in 2013, Gans Tomas got this clip safe to react under Head Bangya title. See you next time. 🦊🤘🔥

Great first reaction! 🤘🦊🤘Thank you for giving BABYMETAL a chance!!! BABYMETAL is a Japanese kawaii/cute metal (they invented the genre) group that formed in 2010 when the 3 girls were 11-12 years old (yes, they were very young), and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Glastonbury, Download, Sonisphere, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too. Also, they are currently on a world tour and released a new amazing album just a couple months ago! 🤘🦊🤘

They've been existed for 12 years and released 4 albums They create a new genre called Kawaii (Cute) metal. These 4 albums definitely the masterpieces for the metal history because they are so different and creative. My 2nd recommendation is Ijime, Dame, Zettai live in Sonishpere 2014. Before the sonisphere show, many people doubted about their ability in music and live performance. You can witness the first time the western meet this band and soon accept them. BABYMETAL 101 Babymetal is a Japanese group founded in 2010 and produced by Kei “Koba” Kobayashi from the Amuse Inc. talent agency. Babymetal name comes from the birth of a new style of metal fusing j-pop with metal creating what they call Kawaii Metal (Cute-Metal). The group currently consists of Suzuka Nakamoto aka “Su-Metal” (25 years old) sometimes referred to as Vocal and Dance. Moa Kikuchi aka "Moametal", pronounced as Moa-Metal (23 years old) as part of Scream and Dance. Momoko Okazaki aka Momometal (20 years old) as part of Scream and Dance . They are supported by a rotating selection of talented male backing musicians known as the Kami Band (Kami is usually poorly translated as gods, but in truth it more closely means awe inspiring spirit, entity, or object) It is why they are dressed in white to look like ghosts or spirits, though Kami being used as God(s) is so common in translation the white outfits get lost. Past Formations. Heavy Music Club Era (2010-2012) From 2010 to 2012 Babymetal consist of a three-member formation, Suzuka Nakamoto (Age 12), Moa Kikuchi (Age 10), and Yui Mizuno aka "Yuimetal" pronounced Yui-Metal. (Age 10). First starting out as the Heavy Music Club as a subunit within the Developmental Idol Group created by Amuse in 2010 known as Sakura Gakuin. Sakura Gakuin is a group that introduces girls between the ages of 10-15 to music, dance, modeling, and acting through Japanese Pop idol music and culture. Given a school theme, all three would be a part of Sakura Gakuin until their graduation from it in the same school year they would graduate from Japanese middle school or 15 years old. Suzuka graduated in March 2013, and Moa and Yui in March of 2015. Sakura Gakuin is a fantastic group with great kawaii jpop songs in their own right. During this time there was no lore, and the girl’s costumes were more punkish in nature which they helped create. They also didn’t perform with live music, using a backing track or the “Skeleton band” people pretending to play music behind them. Music Video of this Era Doki Doki Morning (Debut Song) Iine (Pronounced EE-N A spelled i i n e) Headbangya Babymetal/ Metal Resistance Era (2012-2017) Starting in 2012 with the Legend I concert, Babymetal began its slow divorce from Sakura Gakuin, and was the first introduction of the Kami Band as well as the “Lore” that is still heavily involved in Babymetal but makes far less sense than it did during this time. The Lore is complex and involves a battle against other evil idol corporations, gaining powers, some time travel, running a resistance group, all at the direction of a mythical deity known as the fox god, against an all power enemy known as Akiba. The first Legend show I was the Kami Bands introduction to the end, but it also had the Skeleton Band which is seen in the wildly popular Gimmie Chocolate Music Video. This was followed by Legend D, and then Legend Z, in which it was learned that Babymetal would continue as its own entity after Suzuka’s graduation from Sakura Gakuin in March of 2013. Slowly over 2013 the Skeleton Band would be phased out of all live shows, as Babymetal came into their own. Babymetal as it is most commonly known as with Su-Metal, Moametal, Yuimetal, the Kami Band, and a somewhat understandable lore is what consisted for the majority of it’s existence. Also established beyond the 3 member formation, they had 2 other set ups, one was what fans called Su-Solos, and it would just be Su on stage with the Kami band, performing a solo, and the other is known as Black Babymetal by the band themselves, which consisted of just Moa and Yui. Music Videos of this Era Gimmie Chocolate Megitsune Rondo of Nightmare - With mischief of the Gods Intro (Su Solo and a great expedition of the Kami Band) Road of Resistance Live in Japan (Co-written by Dragonforce) Iijime, Dame, Zettai Live at Sonisphere (Name means No More Bullying Forever) Karate The Dark Times, The Chosen 7 Era (2018) In December 2017, Yui would miss the Legend-S concert for health reasons, these health problems would prosiest into 2018 and greatly affect the 2018 touring season bring the “Chosen 7” formation, consisting of Suzuka Nakamoto, Moa Kikuchi, and 2 backing dancers Minako Maruyama, and Minami Tsukui. Changes they would not tell fans and all throughout 2018 communicate extraordinarily little causing lots of pain for all involved fan and performer. This era is noted by their strange armor like costumes, sometimes referred to as Elf Armor. To make the poor communication, and Yui’s absence wasn’t bad enough, one of the more regular Kami band members, Mikio Fujioka passed away after falling off a balcony in late December 2017 while star gazing. A beloved and incredibly talented musician lost leaving behind his wife and only child. In September 2018 Yui would formally resign from Babymetal, stating her unspecified health and wishing to move on. Babymetal themselves announced that the group will move on focusing on Suzuka and Moa. (Something many idiots within the fandom refuse or are too stupid to understand) In October Babymetal had a concert called Dark Night Carnival which added dancers, Shoko Akiyama, Saya Hirai, and Kotono, placing a total of seven girls on stage. This was also done without warning to fans and was an absolute mess. Babymetal would finish off the 2018 tour season returning to the 3-member formation with just Saya Hirai joining them in southeast Asia and Australia. Ending one of the most troubling times in Babymetal’s history. Music Videos of this Era (These MVs do not feature the members in them at all) Distortion Starlight (Don’t let overzealous fans fool you, this is OFFICIALLY not a tribute to anyone. A lot of fan speculation, end of story if they claim it is they are 100% lying to you.) Metal Galaxy Era (2019- Feb 2020) First introduced in 2019 during the Babymetal Arises concert in Yokohama, before the start, the “Avenger” support dancer concept was explained in the lore, and the concept thanks to communication and a maintaining of the 3-member formation brought Babymetal out of dark times brought about during 2018. Babymetal seemed to have returned to its roots with the Avengers, as 2 of the three (Kano and Momoko) come from Sakura Gakuin. The third Riho, went to the same performing arts school as Suzuka during the same time, Actors School Hiroshima aka ASH. Music Videos of this Era Pa Pa Ya Elevator Girl Shanti Shanti Da Da Dance (Avenger confusion) Which Avenger one sees can be confusing for those new to Babymetal. For the Music Videos, Pa Pa Ya, Elevator Girl, and Shanti Shanti Shanti, it is Kano Fujihira, who was just 14 years old at the time. Da Da Dance is a compilation of Momoko and Riho and a splicing of 2 different shows. In most fan cam videos of the American and European tour it would be either Riho or Momoko, as they toured with Babymetal in 2019. Kano had responsibilities with Sakura Gakuin as its president, a position Suzuka and Moa both held in Sakura Gakuin, and she’s never flown on a plane before. Some fans for 2019 did throw a stupid temper tantrum over the use of new Kami Band members who are from the west now known as the West Coast Kami Band, but like how the girls won over many, so did they and the payoff with the Legend Metal Galaxy concert in 2020 was well worth it.

COVID Era (Mar 2020 to April 2021) COIVD-19 has messed up a lot of things for everyone, Babymetal had to cancel their Asian tour, as well their big 10th Anniversary on October 10, 2020. Forced to keep it rather tame something very unlike Babymetal as even in their failures like the entire 2018 tour they do it septically. The question for many fans is what of the Avengers, since COVID, Avenger Riho Sayashi has signed with a new agency and has move on to other projects, including starting a fan club, which appears to rule her out of ever being an Avenger again. Kano Fujihara graduated from Sakura Gakuin on August 30, 2020, a near 4-month delay. However, she and fellow Sakura Gakuin graduates Soyoka Yoshida, Tsugumi Aritomo, and Momoe Mori in the formation of @onefive. Which leaves Momoko Okazaki as the last standing Avenger with no new commitments. However, Kano was technically in Sakura Gakuin, @onefive, and Babymetal all at the same time for almost a year so it is possible she will still be an Avenger. All shows since COVID pandemic they have done in 2020 and in 2021 have had Momoko as the Avenger. Music Videos of this Era BxMxC (First music video that isn’t footage from a show and featuring Su and Moa since Karate in 2015) Post 10-year Anniversary/ Covid Era Part 2 (May 2021-September 2022) The band is stepping back from live shows due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and focusing on the sale of Merch. Don't let stupid fans fool you the band is not on hiatus or ending. They are idiots and deserves to be made fun of as they’ve been working on new material. Momoko had a very very short stint in a Korean Idol Competition Show called Planet 99. She performed perfectly, better than most of the other girls in the show. She even got the most votes in a small side competition destroying all other 98 girls in the show in votes. This won her some hair dye (She was blonde for a bit). Ultimately be it dumb BM fans thinking the side competition was the actual competition, how the judging was heavily skewed to Korean voters, the fact that her fate was tied to 2 other girls one Korean and one Chinese, and or possibly ridged voting something the company producing the show has done in the past, Momoko was eliminated in the very first round. The Other One (October 2022-Current) They have released 5 songs on KZbin, they performed a show in January 2023 where they performed these new songs leading up to the released of their Album in March with 10 new songs. During January and February shows Su and Moa were supported by Momoko. Great reaction . Lucky enough to catch them live a few weeks ago during the Uk leg of their Tour with Sabaton . First thing - they're Japanese ! BabyMetal is really the 3 girls and the backing band is The Kami Band which as far as I'm aware is drawn from a rotating pool of super talented musicians. The style of music has been christened KAWAII ( cute ) Metal and is basically a fusion of J-Metal & J-Pop Despite the fact that main vocalist ( and oldest member ) Su-Metal is still only 25 the band was formed in 2010 ! - you do the math ! Lots of great tracks to review from the sweetness of " Monochrome " on THE FIRST TAKE to the heaviness off " BabyMetal Death " - my personal favourite is a track called " Rondo of Nightmare ' Enjoy the FOXHOLE

BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old when the group began. All three were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine. They have over 50 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more. Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.) Suggest reacting to these for a start. Syncopation LIVE kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZXFao2vZb6XhcU Karate LIVE at 2016 Download Festival in the UK where 60,000+ British metal heads sing along with the girls kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4mpameIfL54o9k Megitsune LIVE at Budokan 2021 BxMxC LIVE kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJuxeXSQdqaEq8k Kagerou LIVE with Kami Band intro kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpiWgqaGfpirZ68 Headbanger LIVE Legend of 1997 Concert (1997 is when lead vocalist. I'm Japanese. Thank for your great reaction. BABYMETAL's members are famous star (acting in TV. CM. etc) from when a child. The agency they work for is the largest entertainment company in Japan and has many stars. It is very difficult to get into this office, and female applicants need to be exceptionally beautiful, first of all. Many stars have been with the company since childhood and take various lessons from leading instructors, such as dancing, singing, acting, etc., and usually become an actress. And among them, a small number of people with high singing ability (like the lead vocal of BABYMETAL : Suzuka Nakamoto) becomes a musician. This is because it is very rare for a person to have both a beautiful appearance and a high singing ability. There are many videos of her singing from when she was in elementary school on KZbin. BABYMETAL was created to make use of her talent in 2010(When she was 13years old).😀 When Babymetal song is voted in popularity by Japanese, 'Akatsuki' usually comes in first place.😀

As a drumer you may like 'Rondo of Nightmare' live at budokan, with a really technicalbeat i think. Beside this one, i like 'Headbanger' and 'Babymetal Death' at Legend 1997 for their really hard metal music. I love 'Megitsune' for Su voice performance in it.

Welcome & Thanks from Japan, the homeland of BABYMETAL 有難う💛。 BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 67-year-long life. (Before BM, I was a stubborn jazz / funk lover) We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music" (totally different from other Asian countries). The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄

oh! if someone has yet to mention it... at 6:33 when she shouts a quick off-lyric line between pauses... she's yelling "Common you guys!" And it was directed at ALL of the people who at the time were bashing Babymetal, saying they would never ammount to anything, that it was 'just a passing fad'. She was directly challenging them. She said it again a few years later at one of the largest live-events in Tokyo, only that time she had a smile on her face, as if to say "see we told you"

Every Babymetal song is different, there are no 2 simmilar songs in their discography. in my opinion, RoR is their best song, but No rain no rainbow, The One and Monochrome are absolutely awesome too. Welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole! 🤘🦊🤘 You will get a lot of recommendations for performances from the "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" concert. That show was in 2013 one day after Su-metal's 16th birthday. She was born in 1997 and this was her birthday celebration. Babymetal's fan-base is called "The ONE". At live shows, the audience actually have specific responses and even it's own choreography in some songs, making them part of the show, hence when screaming "We are....BABYMETAL" they are saying we are all one with Babymetal at that moment. Another reason why it is always best to react to live performances. To see just how many genres Babymetal can cram into one song, check out one of their earliest songs, "Iine!" (pronounced EE-neh and often mistitled as "Line!". One of my favorite BM songs is another early and fun recording "Uki Uki⭐Midnight" (yes, the star is in the title) which was a heavier follow-up to their first release, "Doki Doki⭐Morning". Recommending a BABYMETAL song is not that easy, because really all of them are good, and all of them are very different. But the bigger issue is copyright. Actually the video you just reacted to gets blocked very often, I wouldn't be surprised if you'd have to take it down. So it's generally a good idea to stick with fan recommendations, as we have a pretty good idea which ones are relatively safe. As I said, there's a great variety in their music, and a wide spectrum between Metal on one side and Pop (and many other genres) on the other. Some songs tend more to one side, some more to the other. I would say Road of Resistance is pretty far on the "pure Metal" side, much of their stuff is more playful than this, sometimes too much for the vanilla metalhead. But that's also where it gets really unique and interesting. I have been a metalhead for about 35 years now, my favourite bands over that time were Iron Maiden, then Metallica, then Dream Theater, but never have I had as much fun as I'm having with BABYMETAL. They are so fresh, not just regarding the music and dancing, but also the general positive vibes. And as you have seen, there's really not much to criticize in terms of their live performances. For a taste of something more playful (and more Japanese), I would recommend the song "Megitsune". And that song is one of the relatively rare cases where I would recommend the official music video over a live performance (for starters).

Their breakout was the Sonisphere festival in England in 2014. On stage they have to be over 10' tall. Off stage. Su the lead singer is 5'2" and Yui and Moa were both under 5' here. And yet they grab your attention and hold it. Yui was with them for their first the start and did the first two albums with them. But she left due to health issues in 2018. Their third album Metal Galaxy was a big success for them. and this year they released what they're calling their 3.5 album. Mostly IMO it's because they have songs on there that they were working on for a long time. All their songs are different and yet retain and overall Babymetal sound to them. My favorite all of them.
