I'm 63, and Stevie is absolutely one of the greatest musical artists of my lifetime. His run of albums in the 70s is almost unequaled. I'm just amazed at how talented he is. Helluva drummer, among his many abilities.... One of the true geniuses we have been privy to. Songs In The Key of Life is probably the greatest album produced in life.

Absolutely great Duo track pick for sure. Wow that first one who's on the radio all the time when I was in grade school and I think in 3rd or 4th grade it was absolutely my favorite song by far. Just everything about it. I couldn't wait for it to come back on the radio again. And of course later I had a chance to dance to it several times and I ended up buying hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of record albums and of course pretty much all of Stevie Wonder's collection along with everything else under the sun. But I still love this song to this day, I never get tired of it and his harp playing on this is just fantastic. In the second one really influenced a lot of funk over the next several years.

Stevie can get political too, like John Lennon. It still bops. Speak out!! Young Prince was listening to this in 1974. He decided to do the same thing. Me, as a 9 year old black kid, inspired me to play music. I've always loved The Beatles from my infantile years. But, when Stevie came, Here was a person who looked like Me?? Wow!! O Wow! Suddenly, I realized that I could do Anything. My destiny was no longer determined by "Race". As it was before. Here is a Incredible Genius undefined by "Race". It made me feel good inside. And proud. Stevie Wonder Is a genius. His music will last forever! I myself wouldn't be a musician without His Influence. Paul and John Loved Stevie. ✌️❤️🍏

Two killer tracks from an album that was brilliant yet still the "weakest" of his 1972-76 period. Which is still better than most people's best work! I love how he brought the Jackson 5 in to help on the latter song but had them just mainly sing "Doo-doo-wop" :P And your tangent is so spot on. Like how movies constantly pump out remakes and sequels, music is so rife with sampling, remixing and borrowing. The original artists at least get paid but the people borrowing end up stealing the song's identity in a way. FFS how many people probably think Beyonce wrote "Blackbird"? Her cover of at least is new vocals but the original guitar track was used. Isn't that just really multi-tracked karaoke? :D Sampling hasn't been good since late 80s/early 90s hip-hop anyway. Public Enemy made it an art form but no one has taken the mantle of that sadly.

"Sounds like supersticion" - because of the Hohner D6 Clavinet? Yeah and everything Beethoven did sounds the same coz he used a piano.
@yourebusted57862 ай бұрын
He spent a lot of energy writing about Nixon but I haven't heard his latest release about the clown show going on these days. He must be biased, eh? Exactly why entertainers should only entertain us. It's why we pay them.
