As a black man born and raised in the ghettos of America this type of music was always playing like the soundtrack of our lives and it was always accepted that Stevie Wonder was a genius and his music was especially special but looking at this couple from a world away listen to this song and is brought to tears really gives this song a deeper meaning that I never considered. I, like the gentleman in this video, was brought to tears. On so many levels this video touched me and even saying that feels like a extreme understatement.... it actually grabbed my soul. In this world that seems so cold and selfish I thank you for this enlightenment and experience. I am a new subscriber.

This song saved my life in 1977. I was 20 years old. I'm grateful for the genuis of Stevie Wonder, his music, and his courage to go on and on wishing profoundly in the deep depts of his soul that humanity will rise above hate and fear...that is from a black blind man. Surely, this man is touched by God. (sorry about the writing, I'm french and just learning).

@@michaelasay8587 From attempting suicide, after rape at nine years old and years of school bullying. I lost all hope of being the happy person I once was. Took me thirty years to live normally again, but yet, at times, it feels like I could sink in the blackness of despair so easily because of extreme solitude and rejection from the people I once loved, including my family. Solitude and loneliness are the only things real left from those years, my only companions. Being alone is the worse thing, but it is the only things keeping me alive. I don't give up easily.

Did you know that life has given love a guarantee? To last through forever and another day! Just as time knew to move on since the beginning... And the seasons know exactly when to change. Great reaction indeed! You are very clever, friends. Dominika (I hope I didn't write in a wrong manner) said very well: when Stevie talks about love, it is not only the love between two human beings, but between one of them and God! The lyrics of this song are... direct from Heaven as it has been said, but I wanted to add this: when in the bridge Stevie says "you're in it but not if it" he does a reference to the famous words in the Gospel of John 15,18-21. Next Stevie's song I recommend: the "nearly-live" "A seed's a star and tree medley".

Herbie Hancock on funky Fender Rhodes electric piano solo 🌟🎶pretty much from 1970 on, Stevie wrote all his own music and lyrics completely, which is one of the amazing things about him. Throughout the ‘70’s into the ‘80’s, he is also the drummer on most of the songs with very little exception. Truly, the closest thing to Stevie from a total music perspective is maybe Prince. Stevie also wrote great songs that other artists recorded as well, like Lovin You, recorded by the late Minnie Ripperton, Michael Jackson’s I Can’t Help It, or Rufus & Chaka Kahn hit, Tell Me Something Good. Also the album that this is from is so epic because it was a double album. If released in today’s times it would have broken the internet or something, just an amazing incredible body of work. Great reaction!👏

You keep on reacting to many of my favorite songs!!! And your words are great, but the expressions on your faces are even greater! You should hear Stevie's album, Innervisions. It's full of this caliber of songs, a true work of art. I noticed on "As" that the line, "God knew exactly where He wanted you to be placed" grabbed your attention. There is a quote from the Bible, Acts 17:26, which says, "From one man [God] made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live." I just thought you might like to know that.

This culminated 6 years in which Stevie Wonder came out with genius album after genius album. And this is his magnum opus -- his greatest work -- most people consider it so anyway. So many great songs on that album, and the way the whole is so seamlessly put together -- often one song leads right into another. It's a full experience -- two full albums, four sides.
