@@L33Reacts The Fowlers are a total musical family. There were a total of five musical Fowler brothers, along with their father, who founded the jazz program at the University of Utah. The family label is fossil records and Toms album Heartscapes includes some other Zappa alumni. Bruces album entropy is highly regarded as well, also replete with former Zappa bandmembers including Chester Thompson. Tom is noted for bass playing, but also plays a wicked electric violin. I know Tom, Bruce, and Walt, and they are all delightful, VERY distinctive characters. Not triplets, but like peas in a pod :)

L33, for a great taste of all three Fowler Brothers, listen to any side of the ROXY & Elsewhere album. Listen to an entire side though. The songs segue into each other and would sound shitty if cut off. Side two is my favorite: Village of the Sun, Echidna's Arf and Don't You Ever Wash That Thing?

Ned from Spain saying thank you Lee. This album that has been in my collection for over 40 years and it never gets old. This was supposedly about Alice Cooper. Ricky did a lot of studio work singing on odd songs like 50/50 including the Banana Splits " Doin the Banana Split", the title song for a cheap Sci Fi flick called " Green Slime" and other novelty numbers. Everyone on this whole LP are playing like beasts but Ralph Humphrey is my MVP. Zombie Woof should be next !!!

@@Royale_with_Cheeze I own 20 FZ Vinyls and the balance in CD's. There are some strong differences between the two. I have the LP version of man from Utopia. Is the VCD version different? Best CD remaster I know was "1968's Only in it for the Money", and Frank remastered that one in 1984. Added some drum tracks the Record company lost.
@Royale_with_Cheeze6 ай бұрын
@@alldayadventures5418 What is VCD? Funny you should mention Only In It... because that and Ruben & The Jets gets the most complaints from older fans. He "said" he had to replace the drums and bass because the tapes were eroding, and at another time, he said he wanted to punch up the drums and bass to attract a younger audience. After he passed, one of the engineers over there put out the original mix of Money to the delight of many, including myself. I have a rare two-fer CD of Man From Utopia and Drowning Witch and that CD has pretty much the exact vinyl mix, the only CD to have that, without any of the bonus stuff.

@@Royale_with_Cheeze Bonjour! I had forgotten VCD's completely until I saw this. They were called 'Video CD's', and they were Compact Discs with a very limited, very low quality video content. I only ever saw one of them. I believe they were/are quite rare. Compact Disc's never had the space for any real video content, and weren't made for it, either. I agree with you about the original vinyl versions. I have a few.

Zappa was very much like the guy from Whiplash. lol. One example is... Flo and Eddie were in the 1988 tour band...for a heartbeat. Like... the first two weeks of rehearsal... then they quit.
