Longtime Godsmack fan here, been a fan since around 2000 when their Hit Single "Voodoo" was used as the intro song for MTV's tv show, Fear. This drum battle is hands down one of the best treasures that Godsmack has produced, and is consistently underrated. I think it's fair to say that Sully and Shanon's energy and life behind their drumming is essentially putting on a clinic, and setting a fairly high standard for what a "drum performance" should be. If I may make another suggestion that I haven't seen you react to is the drummer/drumpad artist Cofresi and his "Mr. Sandman" Remix. He pushes a fine line of drumming and electronic music, and blends them seamlessly. I promise you will NOT be disappointed!

Same here brother! 53 now but who’s counting right? Godsmack has always been amazing, I heard a story about Sully from Reno Nv a few years back. He was playing a show at the casino and my buddy ran into him and his young son at the Skeetball machine in the arcade. He said Sully was such a nice and down to earth guy Anne talked for about 20 mins, not even about music. What a cool Sully story

Found a used set and loven it 😁 awesome stress reliever and fun as hell too play alone to favorite songs. I've got a goal to play ... Devil in I.. by the time I turn 50, so 1 more yr to get dubs down 😆🤞

Sully is so talented in all instruments not only drums he can play bass, and lead guitar and amazing on the piano, I've had the pleasure of meeting Sully twice at the world series of poker 2 years in a row as he was seated at my table, and knocked me out the second year you can see it on TV where he knocks me out Buddy Ryan , but he is an amazing guy to talk to so down to earth and likes to laugh alot .... so likable ... that's my story of sully , at the same time I believe he's the best singer on the planet

A friend of mine won a copy of the "Changes" DVD in a magazine competition, after he let me borrow it for a while I had to get a copy of my own. Fantastic live footage, and the drum battle here is the centrepiece (more or less). Both Sully and Shannon have very similar styles & play off of each other on the drums very well.

There is no loser here! Two very talented musicians showing off what they got!! They do rehearse this for the main riffs but the fills they don't practice that way the can improvise and do it a little different night and I think that makes more fun for them and for the crowd. I've seen Godsmack several times live and it's always a good show see. Shannon Larkin is one of my favorite drummers out there but Sully is no slouch either and I love the hand percussion he throws into the mix.

My top shelf favorite of all time, has been for many years. I watched this in the old format but once they opened it up to HD I couldn't control the goosebumps every time. The perfect pair... Shannon and Sully. These guys are the shit. Sully sat behind the drums of a going no where band for 21 years....and finally said fuck this walked away and created Godsmack...the Legend.

Colby its Jeff from The MCU'S Bleeding Edge dude, love your channel man, hey I caught Godsmack in Tampa with my Daughter like two months ago and they had a f'ing drum off at that show at the Ampitheater out there right outside Brandon. Dude they did everything bro I swear, Sully sounded as good as he did when i saw them in 1998 as a kid and they had a freaking drum off, they had a extended drum solo session deal with the main drummer where he used the bongos and all that shit, and then to top it off the band brought a bunch of random young kids on stage with them to help sing a song, i forget which one it was I was pretty well faded at that point my friend lol, i fan cammed some of the drum solo deal but i just have not had time to put up any of my show footage for months cause i go to so many shows man! I saw Shinedown and Papa Roach last month with another creator up in Tampa and i saw Fallout Boy the month before that again with my daughter it was a dope show man they suprisingly to me really killed it live and played a very long main set. Just wanted to peep you out man and let you know i caught the band doing this shit just a minute ago dude this is Godsmack on the reg apparently brah.

Saw them live in 2019 again when they toured Europe (at last) Bought every album of them (even imported one, which wasn't available here), Also even got a tattoo withe the "Sun" logo... So, yes, I consider myself a fan for 18 years now :)

Not really a Godsmack fan. But I have been in every way shape and form, a massive fan of this performance. It of course isn't truly a drum battle. More of a drum duo extravaganza. It is hands down one of the greatest percussion duo performances of all time. I do have a very difficult time believing that there are many drummers who don't already know and have seen this video though. At least not a drummer as old as you sir. It would be about as believable if you were to say......"Drum player here. I've been drumming for over 20 years. Today I will be reacting to some guy named Buddy Rich. Buddy Rich? Huh, I think I may have heard of him maybe. Don't believe I've ever seen him play though. Lets watch and see if he's any good. Don't forget to Like and Subscribe." Yeah, I wouldn't buy that for a second. It's about the same thing with this video here.

Imagine how much practice it took to get this tight and right! Imagine being the sound man who had to deal with two drumsets and get this mix right. This took so much work it would boggle the mind of the average fan. As a guitarist, I know how hard this was to get tight. Massive practice time and so many sleepless nights working this out. Not to mention all the rest of the show. Fans have no idea how hard musicians work to bring them a tight show. If they knew, they would fall down in awe of the hard work it takes to put on a pro show.
