Thank you to our patron Shawn F for another winner... wow. The eerie similarity to CSNY and their harmonies is quite uncanny. And it sounds amazing. Then the song turns into something completely different by the end... such an interesting blend of sounds. I really enjoyed this... and I want to hear more!

Glenn Frey from The Eagles publicly admitted he considered LRB as the best vocal band in the world. he said this at the 1988 Brisbane Expo live concert while he was travelling with LRB. LRBs harmonies during every live concert were as good as they were in the studio. A friend of mine was recording in a studio in London while LRB were in the studio next door. They spent the ENTIRE weekend working on the harmonies for one song. THAT is why they were so good. Glad you played the album version SOOOO much better than the edited radio version where they cut the lead breaks out and ruined the song. You need the entire version as it all blends together and in fact you could call it a symphonic piece with all the different moods in it.

LRB had better harmonies than CSNY [IMHO] . Glenn Frey [RIP]. of the Eagles, a band renowned for their harmonies; check out Seven Bridges Road if you haven't yet; said LRB was the best harmonizing band in the world. Pretty high praise. Night Owls is a great toe tapping rocker

Saw them live in Sydney in late 70’s at a huge Arena concert. They were the support act to Fleetwood Mac & Santana! They stole the show and blew the others off the stage with a phenomenal performance of vocal harmonies & quality musicianship. Fleetwood Mac were too stoned to even realise what had happened before them.

As soon as I saw this in your cue I knew this would be right up your alley. LRB has always been known for vocals and song writing but especiall in this song Man the guitar work is just such a piece of musical art. Especially if you re-listen and pay attention to the guitar rephrasing and echoing the vocals all throughout the song. Thanks for the reactions!

This band was from here in Australia. If memory serves correctly, this song was hawked around in the USA by their manager to try and get their break there. I don't think they ever made it big in America, but did have a small but dedicated group of followers there. Not many of their other songs were as highly produced as this one, but their songbook was impressive nevertheless ...
