For being outside his comfort zone and not his type of music at all he did really well. If he dedicated himself to this style of music I have no doubt he’d crush.

The reason he's on that particular kit is because he also cut a video with Drumeo demonstrating Genesis and Phil Collins drum parts...so in order to get those sounds, he's playing the same kit as his dad's. He played this kit on the last Genesis tour and his dad's last solo tour. His regular kit, which he played with the last Mike and the Mechanics tour, is also a Gretsch USA Custom, but regular toms in purple sparkle. Beautiful kit.

I was at the last Genesis show in NA (TD Garden Dec 2021), and was quite impressed with how well Nic was playing. Musical talent can be genetic. It's how you DEVELOP that talent that matters. And Nic is well on his way to stepping out of the considerably large shadow of his father's drum kit

Regardless if Nick can't play this song on the drums you can see he's an exceptional and talented drummer. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I’ve seen videos of him with his dad and genesis and also with his own band the kid is very talented and definitely is his father’s son when it comes to drums

I'm a fan. Oh, I think I said it. He´s doing well. For a drummer who doesn't usually play this kind of music, he's done very well.

Saw him play on his Dad's tour. He was awesome. A chip off the old block. And his kit is a right-handed version of Phil's

Learning to play the Rev's music is" Almost Easy" Did a real good job getting out of the comfort zone. Talent is hard sometimes.

He did well. But I can't stop thinking that his father, Phil Collins, would have done at least as well in his prime. Phil is often judged solely on songs like In the Air Tonight, but the material he played with Genesis in the '70s was sometimes just over the top for its time, on the same level as guys like Brufford and Peart.

Love seeing metal played on a Phil Collins kit. I commented on the Drumeo video that I was dying to hear a run down the Tom’s in here somewhere just to throw it in.

It’s not perfect but he killed this, for having literally maybe 30 min and never having played metal or listen to metal music, extremely proud of his ability to tackle this. Talented drummer with no doubt, well done Nick Collins 🔥🤘🏻

Started listening to A7X at Sounding the 7th Trumpet and was instantly hooked. Wasn't a huge fan of this album, but this was not an easy song to learn...it wasn't even almost easy🤘😉

His problem seems to be using the double with it at that particular moment as he’s not used to it but he learns quick this was all apparently in two hours

its in the genes seriously.. if he can play his dad's (who is low key one of the top overall drummers in history) stuff both solo and from Genesis. I don't think there's much he COULDN'T play if given enough time to learn it properly.

The worst thing here, is that you make a living, not by having any form of talent, but by putting your face on videos of people who do. Now, you're not alone in this, and what an odd world we live in where this is a 'thing'. Jeeps !!
