A7X definitely meant for there to be a lot of little mistakes in the playing. M Shadows talks on an interview with Nick Nocturnal that the band wanted something that wasn't overproduced and glossy. They really wanted to experiment and try new things and just be raw. It's not like the mistakes are intentional, but they didn't care to fix and clean up every single tiny detail. As (somebody, didnt catch the name) pointed it out, the thing with the high-hats was cool. None of the mistakes pulled me out of it. It doesn't matter.
