Songs in the Key of life..... I was 15 years old and the whole album was played loud on repeat in the school canteen. Got the double album (vinyl, still have it) and still know all the lyrics by heart. All those songs remind me of that special time of coming of age. I was a troubled kid but this music made me so happy and helped me through my ordeals. Suddenly I feel like 15 again and dance around the room on my own. 💃

My favorite of these is Do I Do, even though it was the 5 minute single version. The album version is 10 and a half minutes. Some other great ones are As, Go Home, You Haven't Done Nothin' and Master Blaster

Those last two you mentioned are my two favorite SW songs. Hopefully Lee gets to them at some point.

The horns. Playing the trombone in college for an easy A allowed me the opportunity to play songs 2 & 4. We also played in bars and did EWF & p-funk standards as well. I had just turned 21 so I was in heaven. Sir Duke is hard.

This lovely wonder was first signed on at age 11. Pretty incredible. A little prodigy. He has shared so much of his magic & grace with many! His songs & sounds can be heard through DJ's in dance clubs. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing this one!

I’d forgotten how much I love Another Star… It really is an epic expression of love… “Through my eyes the light of you is all I see” …💫🌠 I’ve never heard Do I Do before. Stevie’s joy is huge! It’s wonderful! I Just Called To Say I Love You seems pale to me in comparison… Sir Duke is a good Stevie song. It was nice to travel through years of Stevie Wonder’s music. Thank you, Lee and Barry!

Another Star is one of my favorite tunes. That outro goes hard AF…the legend George Benson on guitar and scat at the end.

Listening to Another Star made me realize it sounded very Disco-y. It’s about the time of Disco coming in. As much as I hated it back then, it sounds positively symphonic today. Wow, I’m old.

On "Another Star" Stevie playing percussion (not all), drums and keys as well as lead and backing vocals. On guitar and backing vocals Mr George Benson! This was the last track on the double album but there was also a 4 song 7" EP that came with the album. "Do I Do' was a new track and the last track on his double vinyl greatest hits from his 70s releases album 'Original Musiquarium 1'. Denis Davis plays drums on this one. You might recognise Denis from some Bowie albums you've covered from the mid-70s. That wasn't the whole track!

Stevie is a top ten all-time artist…but “I Just Called To Say I Love You” kinda blows chunks. Personally, I love “Uptight (Everything’s Alright)”, and I don’t think I saw Lee react to that one.
