If you haven't, you should check out the album they released after this one, Pale Communion. For some reason it gets overlooked, but on some days it's my favourite Opeth album and I've been a fan since the late 90's when a friend who's a death metal vocalist sent me an mp3 of The Moor. I'd recommend Moon Above, Sun Below or River from that album, but all the tracks are great.

@@L33Reacts this I like, but where's the line between oldpeth and midpeth (who are anything but mid - obviously)? I can see an argument for Deliverance / Damnation through to Heritage as the middle stretch. The real trick is to just enjoy all of it of course.

watershed means a turning point...I think it fits. Theres some newpeth in Watershed, but Heritage is for sure the first.
