Manuel Cespedes your sentiments are like mine, you know how all these drummers are half clones of Gadd, Kim loved Steve but he never copied him.A true original phenomenal musician, educational genius and for my taste always my favorite all around drummer. Kim you live on through your incredible talented drumming style I have to get all my notes from you together and work on some of your afro Cuban rhythms.

Haven't watched this in almost 20 years, but brings back great memories. What a player Kim and the rest of the trio was!

I bought the DVD many years ago and his was a stand out performance to me. Brilliant musicianship. Sad to hear he is no longer with us.

I came here after watching Kim's solo on a live version of Listen Love performed in the late 90s in DC.

Kim had me transcribe this for my private lesson. My god! The kicks over time took me several weeks to transcribe and I played it like shit in the end. He gave me an A for effort (not really its was more like a B) but I learned a lot from this one tune. I'm embarrassed that I can't even remember the name of the tune. I keep thinking "commodore funk" but its not.
