One of the most (maybe THE most) brilliant, inspired, and wonderful drum solos I've heard, and I've been playing for 50 years. I love the dynamics--volume dynamics, intensity dynamics, lyrical dynamics--the humor, and most of all the sheer joy of playing that is so evident here. Of course there's the phenomenal technique and the astounding technical ability, too. For most drummers these days, that seems to be all there is, but here those things are all in service to the musical expression. And in my book, being musical is the highest calling a drummer can aspire to. This sets a new benchmark and provides enough creative inspiration to keep me going for the next two years.

Chris Botti knows how to pick them, that's for sure! I just came to this video from another Chris Botti drum solo video of when Billy Kilson was on tour with him. THAT was one of the best drum solos I've ever seen, and now I'm watching THIS. I'm just so glad that I gave up on the drums a long time ago. I still love messing around but to reach anything close to this level would be impossible for me. I'm just so happy that others are able to capture and upload these amazing performances for all of us to see.

Plant a groove seed in fertile soul and amazing things can happen. How great is it to see a musician so connected to what's inside them and be so intimate with their instrument that it just flows outward? I feel inspired after watching you play, Lee : )

Lee Pearson an inspiration in drumming. What I am hearing and seeing is God Given talent. The man Lee is drumming from his heart. Notice how he gets soft soft and then uses dynamics I would say that many drummers out there today are great no doubt about it. I can hear Max Roach ideas in is playing and the chops are there. Without a doubt this man deserves all the recognition and then some. As a fellow drummer I admire him and will wait for more exciting drumming from this fine musician. thank you and God Bless You BOOM
