I went to high school with Gary. He’s such a great guy and an amazing drummer. He’s always lived the drumming life and been true to it. Really happy for all his success.

because he only plays with the cream of the musicians not on popular venues, his is a true artist with the best of them & at such a young age as well.

@@brachashighhopeshomestead226 He's older (respectively speaking) at this point. Still at the top of the game. Played with Chick Corea too.

Out of this world! Novak's playing is as light as a feather on those cymbals! Kudos to the great late Dave Carpenter too.

His name is Dynamic Novak, monster drummer with legend band!!! This is my best setup of Allan Holdsworth, but i also love G. Husband, J. Johnon setup.

k custom dry ride such a thicc boi
@retrayal46422 ай бұрын
@@user-bs6du8fz9qthis actually sounds like the k custom left side ride
@user-bs6du8fz9q2 ай бұрын
@@retrayal4642 yeah i do agree, for quite some time i thought that was the left side ride (the rivets did do a lot of misleading), but this was 1997, the left side ride wasn't a thing until the early 2000s, so it was mostly likely the custom dry ride instead.
@retrayal46422 ай бұрын
@@user-bs6du8fz9q it has to be a dry light ride then, doesn’t seem heavy enough for a dry ride

I thought it was a K Custom Dark Ride

I'm pretty sure it's a K Custom Dry Ride- it's difficult to tell if it's a 20" or 22" although I think it's a 22- with two rivets added. I'm not sure if they still make these, but they were quite popular in the 1990's.
@EsaelPaggin0243 ай бұрын
I believe it's an old k.Pre.Aged ride symbol with rivets. Zelgin used to have a line actually called k.Pre aged

If you sent a link of this video to Gary on social media and asked him (a Google search will probably yield something), I bet he would tell you (if he remembers). Who knows.

I'm guessing K Custom Dark Ride.

In a world of pearts and Carey’s fanboys calling those bang average players the best ever……..then this guy Gary Novak is certainly underrated.
