This is awesome and the possibilities are endless! - - The piledriving rig driving the foundation piles, the sound of a glove hitting the heavy bag at the gym, the click of a high heel shoe on a granite floor all on the drums. . . I can't thank you enough for this!

Right on the money my friend. I've been editing sounds like that for over 10 years using protools and designing my sounds. You like took the words right out of my mind. There's some more cool secrets that can be used. I'll share them when I post up my video. Great Job. Keep it coming.

Cool stuff. I noticed some of your high toms are mounted backwards perhaps(?). Just that gain you some more real estate away from the new larger snare?

hI Andrew, thanks for checking the video out. yes your correct, these are pretty much bongo or melody pads. I was having trouble getting a dble pedal under without the hat being to close. Inverting them made a bit more elbow room as I play a little larger for stage and come home with bloody fingers , lol, Had to reposition the heads for logo to read proper too. Check out drumdirty.com you'll see a few hybrid set ups I have built for concert events!

Cool. Will do. Speaking of hybrid, I purchased a couple of new Roland triggers a couple years back, but haven't had a chance to incorporate them yet into a live setting. I'd like to try them out with one of the two big bands I play with :-)

Nice video man! I have one question: can you import Superior drummer kits to the sd card and use them on a TD-50 live?

Jani Tammi hey Jani, thanks for checking out my channel and video. I have easy drummer and have not been able to yet . I’ll make a kick snare I like then import it, haven’t done whole kits as I haven’t found a software that The TD50 talks to yet. Great question and yes its needed option.

Hey bro, I have a question. I've got a TD-50. I have a Rim shot .wav file that I want to put on my Alesis Sample pad pro SD card. I must have saved it as a user sample as some point because I can still see the file in my list of user samples but I can no longer see the file in any of the folders. It's almost like I save it as user sample, then deleted it. Do you know of a way to save a user sample back to the SD card? I have found where I can save an instrument or kit to the SD card but if I'm not mistaken that just shows up as a .TD0 file when I try to view it on my computer instead of the .wav file. I can't find this file anywhere on my computer either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What size card works best. I have a 128 g is that ok or is it too big ??
@drumndirty
@drumndirty 3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure I’ve only put a 32 in mine, as long as it’s formatted for the TD50 128 should work, you probably want quicker write speeds to do a faster transfer. You can play tracks from the SD so having a large library on the card would be dope !

WHAT if you dont have these programs like ableton can you use a stand alone digital tascam recorder or the spdsx ? and do you need a computer i am clueless here , i really need to get more kits in my td 50 , thanks BD
@drumndirty
@drumndirty 7 жыл бұрын
Hey BD! thanks for checking the SD vid out. The way I did it you would need a computer and some type of editing software. If the SD recorded has a SD card you could for sure. Jusr need to import then save to another SD that lives in the TD50 ,If you don't have access to a computer you could find a friend with one and check out some of the great libraries online. i m always tweeking the internal sounds to fit with in a set . The bulk of the onboard samples are such a great starting point, Try layering them in the Sub group section

still confused , did you have to upload drivers from roland or anything , i have a computer just not sure what i got to do , thanks for your time here too,btw i have addictive drum software and i want to try and get samples from that just not sure how too
@drumndirty

I would export the samples (mixed the way you want) then copy to sd card and load them from there. So far as I know the TD50 does not support importing of entire kits from 3rd party software. I usually start with a kiot Im close with then copy and edit the new kit./ Then import samples into TD50 from SD card.
