I watch it late middle school since I'm big horror fan so I gotta watch it & I thought it was normal to show 🤣 At least it's very violent & fun to watch which is a balance. On serious note gotta watch old but not to old opening at least like Log Horizon & Btoom. You will love Legend of the Galactic Heroes:Die Neue These.

Can't believe it's already been 14 years since this banger released, it's one of my favorite OPs for the music alone (also the song "Ripple" from their same EP). The band did a re-release of the same song on 2021, alongside a videoclip, but the OG nostalgia hits harder for me.

It kills me every. Single. Time I think about it. Every time. To be fair it was probably never gonna be that in-depth of a story or some master piece and maybe anyone could whip up a story that sounds better on paper but, goddamn. It just hurts that I’ll never get to see it play out to it’s conclusion.

I used to live in group home when I was homeless in my teens (bad times). One of the staff was like 50 with grey hair and a huge rock/metal guy. He didn't really know any music after the 2000's so I liked showing him cool bands. Of course he had a bias against Japan like people like that tend to have. Very cutesy, kinda pervy, ect.. I showed him a Live Performance of this band/song and he actually really liked it, he was really impressed. "Oh yeah, these guys can play." I remember it fondly. IDK why Japan gives some of the best music to the really weird shows but it's almost like an X/Y graph of Degeneracy = Banger Songs at this point (it does divebomb near the top thou.) I've found some of the best songs I've ever heard in the worst places (Door To Paradise from Euphoria for example.) I also remember showing my Deathcore friend Hungry Pride by Maximum The Hormone, and he was stunned laughing. "Who would have thought Japan in all places." Japan's not as bad as everyone thinks. They get taken out of context a lot, and honestly I think a lot of the West are hypocrites. The only difference is the weird ones here have shame and/or self proclaimed dignity so they stay hidden, lol.

Now that you've been introduced to kishida kyoudan I believe it is high time you get into touhou doujin music! doujin music is basically indie music, and touhou doujin music is covers of the video game music from touhou. it is basically an entire subgenre of music and has born many talented artists, similar to vocaloid. Kishida Kyoudan has also done touhou covers at some point! For example, their song "YU-MU", very similar in style to the HSotD opening. Many different music genres have been used to cover touhou, from classical to metal and everything inbetween. As a metal example, take UNDEAD CORPORATION's "Everything will freeze (Instrumental)", or perhaps Draw The Emotional's "We cannot get out of here forever" (I recommend checking out the playlist to the album "Ghost and your heart" as the album plays a prelude to it in a separate track, it's the first one "Endless cycle of rebirth") for metal but less traditional. If you want something more pop, check out Akatsuki Record's "Necromantic". The world of touhou music is huge and varied! I can only recommend looking into it.

I think that what generates a different sensation in this music besides everything mentioned is the use of the outside scale, where notes are played purposefully outside the tone of the song, generating a kind of crazy, sinister and spatial effect that contrasts with the tonal center of the song itself, but the way it was done by the guitarists is simply incredible, this is an insane music
@DrumRollTonyReacts

I think i did a whole section in this video talking exactly about that. I related it musically the zombie correlation The word is 'dissonance' to describe notes that are outside of the tonal center.

I don't see anything on Patreon other than that he finished it back in November. I would love to rewatch the show for like the 4th time but seeing his reactions along the way this time. Regardless, I love HOTD as ridiculous as it is. It's such a fun ride. But to get back on track here, obviously the OP here is fantastic but still to this day, if I ever hear the first few seconds of the first ED, I get chills. For being the kind of show that it is, HOTD had no right to have such an incredible OST overall but it did and incorporated them so well. It's why I love the show, it does so many crazy things but somehow manages to balance it all into a cohesive whole.

truly the best zombie genre anime that actually feels 'horror;... most zombie anime are all gimmicky or more comedy than horror, this is the only anime where if you remove the ecchi scenes you will still watch it because of how scary the zomies were, like encountering one of them is already scary, and they don't need to create variant/special zombies which will make normal zombie look weak and not dangerous.

~2010th was a gold era of anime, so many cool titles from that time. And this track is particularly memorable. I forget a lot about this anime, but I imprinted this song in my mind. Aside from HSOD I am also recommending you both watching anime and reacting to OP/ED of Soul Eater, it was also from that time and have banger music. - in this one probably many people would be interesting to see reaction, but, honestly, I would personally recommend to watch on your own Casshern Sins. the soundtrack for this anime is great. It's also the only anime I know that used different ending themes for all episodes and it's the same singer. Pretty unique. Megavideo would be great.

It would be interesting to see your perspective on Re:Creators op 1: gravityWall from Sawano Hiroyuki, Tielle & Gemie! (Also, the anime is pretty damn good too!)

All 12 different endings are also fire as hell. The OST in this anime is nuts, very rare multiple OST and almost all of them are fire which is more rarer in combination.

For me its sounds like its raw. Like they just recorded it and overlayed everything and said here you go. Which sounds awesome.

I have a few suggestion after seeing your recent video being about the vocaloid song Roki. Do you reckon you could listen to one of these? Dizzy Paranoia Girl (VocaloKat) Bake No Hana (Ghost Flower/Flower of Transformation) (Nightcord at 25:00) Lagtrain (INABAKUMORI) OTHER SIDE (Staircatte) Had It All (Anh Duty)

very fitting tune for HotD, though I didn't watch the anime, only read the manga. I assume they cranked the "extremes" up even more XD probably a really nice reaction run for your patreons XD

I don't know if I am right, but I like that feeling as if the first verse was made the same as he second verse, THEN they removed certain parts of it to turn the first verse into that wobbly, spread and multidirectional piece of melody to make you a bit confused and wondering what it is for. And THEN in the second verse they bring layers back, creating that central pole supporting the melody (like that left side guitar) and you feel yourself like in that "Drake helps Lil Yachty with the laptop" meme. P.S. And I specifically like everything happening with that slightly silenced guitar groove on the right side. Like the guy is just enjoying himself on the background picking strings.

That's very possible. That would be an easy fade from an engineer standpoint. The artist pov makes me think no but who really knows. Cool effect was achieved 🎵🎶
