Thx for transcribing this song, another long complex one, one of The Doors’ classics and often played. I just got an edrum on Monday. I don’t know what I’m doing and you’re my first drum teacher and oh boy, I’m sweatin’ but it’s addictive, not the same feeling when I played the guitar for the first time. It’s like instant connection. It’s hard for my arse but great for my brain. 😎 The Doors is my fave musical band, which means John Densmore is my favorite drummer. The Doors went beyond rock n roll. Likewise, JD went beyond that rock n roll beat and applied his jazz skills to rock n roll, flawlessly. He never plays flat, always going up and down and all over the place, like in classical music…wild yet contained, a total paradox. I love his pauses and crescendo. His drums scream yet also whisper kindly to the ear. Just listen to The Doors longer songs like When the Music is over or The End or Not to Touch the Earth (live version). Listen to End of the Night. I can listen to just his drumming forever. The LA Woman album sounds entirely different from their debut album, The Doors, where at times the songs were muddy and very eerie sounding, while in LAW, JD’s drumming presence was in full bloom, really mixed well. In some songs of The Doors album, JD’s drums are panned to a side, very sixties sound. The songs still sound really great, just differently mixed to capture different feelings, the essence of The Doors. Aloha! 😎

This is a Roland kit. I can't remember the model number, but it was their flagship model about 6 years ago.
