Had a bad head cold, because of the change of seasons, always happens this time of year. Hope you're feeling better. And for wedding gigs, I played one and the bride and groom requested up tempo blues- Blues -Rock. That's what they wanted, and the bride and groom requested At Last as their slow dance. Hey It's a business, give them what they want. They were happy and so were we that we didn't have to play traditional wedding music, take care.

Great story! I had a similar experience playing in a corporate/wedding band years ago in NYC which escalated into a full out brawl between the families. I am still close to many of those band members and that event is always brought up whenever we get together. Also, love that shirt! Studied Latin percussion there in the mid to late 1970s. Truly enjoy your channel.

Tim, your stories are absorbing and I always enjoy them. Sorry you had to go through all that. I was once at a wedding (my former brother-in-law's daughter) in Orangeville where things seemed amiss. Anyone taking a look at the groom would deduce that the marriage wasn't going to last. He didn't look like a secure, responsible guy by any means. The head table and many of the guests gave off a hard-partying vibe (e.g. booze and cocaine). The men looked awkward stuffed into their suits, with their hair slicked back. I thought: I wonder if some of these guys are bikers? Weirdest thing I saw that night was a tough looking dude seated at a table across the room with two burly dudes by his side. No women or family members at the table. Just the three dudes - all night. I leaned over and said to my wife: "I bet that guy's the dealer, and those are his bodyguards". I had a bit of fun throughout the night staring over at the "dealer's" table. A few times he made eye contact in return. I wanted him to think I was an undercover cop. My boldness was fueled by a few beers. I ran into him and his muscle men in the bathroom and I thought he might say something, but he didn't. The marriage lasted less than a year BTW.

Our job sure is interesting! Gotta love dealing with the drunks at any venue and not being a drinker. It's very comical!

Yes that’s exactly correct! And very much on edge at that gig! I hate being uncomfortable when I’m playing music

Hi Tim! I actually hired a "Live Band " for our wedding 30 years ago. A Mexican band, not the Mariachi kind but a Tejano one. .... so come 9:30 we went thru all the kegs and Booze maybe 3 to 5 kegs honestly I don't remember.... so some family drove 20 miles upto Michigan to get more beer and drinks, .... more drinking and dancing 💃 but come Midnight nobody Left ! At least 125 people still there. So with a Good buzz I ask the band in English can you guys play longer ... they said we don't have anymore Material to play so I $ay I got $150.00 .... they walked back to the stage and played the same songs again ( Probably) it finally ended at 1:45 Am . We are still together and so is the band! Great story 👏 ( I actually meant your story) edit !lol😂 Z

No Province in Canada provides the necessary medical " Mental Health " resources to help patients........ These patients become the homeless....... Just my opinion. Thx or sharing.
