Out of all the mesh products that I've been looking at and researching, Drum-Tec stands apart from all of them. I believe that I am even going to purchase your 18" kick drum for electronic kits, as well. Looking forward to doing business with you soon, Drum-Tec.

.. sound has nothing to do with the heads. it's electric, it is being edited in real time. You should really get a program like addictive drum 2, then you can have hundreds of amazing sounding kits with full editing suite as well. I can have drums that sound exactly like any song I want.
@ianhinrichsendrummer2113 Жыл бұрын
It sounds different, because they've worked on the sounds - stock out of the box the dm 10 sounds terrible - especially the snares, but playing around with the filter (tone), tuning and decay can make a huge difference.

I really would like to start drumming, not professional just for fun, but i dont want to start a war with my parents or neighbours ;). On my list of potential sets are: this Alesis kit, the Roland TD4KX2 and the Roland TD11KV. How well does the Alesis "compete" in terms of triggering(double bass), pad noise and sound with the two Roland's. My personal favourite is the Alesis because of the extra tom and cymbal. What of the three kits would you choose? (budget is ~1200€)

Hey Gabriel, listen to me bro.... i"ve been playing for over 15yrs. Most people that say buy Roland or Yahmaha instead of Alesis has mostly to do with the pads. For around $140 dollars you can change ALL the drum pads on the Alesis, and you will STILL have saved over $700, as oppose to what the Roland costs! Remember this... the most IMPORTANT drum pad on an electronic set OR accoustic set is the SNARE. Period!! So it is important that the snare has that bounce, that reaction, that pop of life when you hit it. Everything else is Toms, bro. So yea, I would still replace the toms on the Alesis, but I would give my most attention to the Snare, Think about it... almost every REAL drummer has a different brand name snare than his or her drum kit!! Because the Snare to a drummer is what a Bat is to a baseball player. get the Alesis bro, and change the heads. Furthermore, you can go on ebay and buy a Roland V-Drum (dual trigger) snare and use with your Alesis DM10. Check out this link Alesis DM10 Module with Roland Drum Pads Don't spend money that you can use elsewhere. The Alesis sounds great!! Check this guy out also.... Drum Jam on the Alesis DM-10

Hi @drum tech have question to ask I'm considering purchasing this kit but I have my concerns about buying the mesh kit and wanted to ask after adding the mesh kit does any special software or firmware have to be downloaded and installed in the module. Alesis was talking about there is so much that has to be done and they get into detail about saduring wires and change so much stuff etc. Etc. Etc. And they have to adjust levels on the module. Does your mesh kit require any of that?

@huhkuntz51069 жыл бұрын
I Know you are selling mesh heads but maybe you could explain why i was told that mesh heads give a less realistic experience because they bounce much more than a normal drum head would, decreasing resistance and therefore training the muscles differently to the way a real kit would. Buddy Rich advocated practicing on surfaces with more resistance than his drum heads (e.g.Pillows), not less. Any help would be good because I want electronic drums to help improve my acoustic playing thanks

dude stay with roland, by far the best.
@mickavellian10 жыл бұрын
***** Based on what criteria ? How many brands have you tested ? how many models? I bet YOU own a Roland so that is why they're the best ? Well my Roland TD-11KV was SHIT . The fastener to the rack started cracking within 6 month and if I went just a little hard the mounting would loosen up. The samples were VERY good but the hardware was indeed crap. So to +kpgpwi64 .. Do your homework . I am battling a decision here and Alesis worries me because theres very little support in the USA and it is a rather new company. The set I saw was sturdy took a beating and the sampling was incredible. the module had so many features I gave up. The price was also good . but again I do not want to have the fiasco I had with Roland.
@MichaelMoralesTV110 жыл бұрын
mickavellian I've had an Alesis, a Yamaha, and two Rolands. Roland is the best by far. Their drum sounds are way better, and their mesh pads are better. I have the TD-30 and i've playing electric kits for years. On that criteria...
@mickavellian10 жыл бұрын
***** well THAT is a good criteria !
