The years of uncertainty, the nights of loneliness. The reckless decisions, the irrational moments of fleeting triumph. It all made sense now, and from the vantage point of retrospect; all seemed necessary so that he could be exactly where he was; happy. We’ll all get there. " Beautiful. The part with Justin Chon always hits home for me...Every time I think about the girl from my past, I come here. Although the thoughts of her only grow stronger when I watch this, it also reminds me why I'm not with her anymore and why it was the best decision for the both of us; "Don't forget all the reasons why you broke up with me...and all the reasons why I won't answer your message". When Justin says, "I'd be better now if I had another chance", that is the quote I most truly feel applies to me and my former relationship even though everything said during their scene can relate to me and her. Ultimately it was my decision to go, and we would be better now if given the chance. But what's done is done, I'll be the best man I can be for someone else; Someone will be a better man for her than I was.

I think that's exactly the reason why I like these short movies so much. In any Hollywood romance drama thing, whatever, you would have that, you would have this self destructive behavior just to increase the drama. But in these productions, there is no unnecessary drama, just pure emotions, emotions we all feel exactly in that way, emotions we can relate to.

I watched this when I was 22 and now I'm rewatching at 26. I only had been in one naive relationship back before 2013 and now, four years later, I can say I've been through most, if not all, of these scenarios. The most relevant is wanting to text THAT person after a night out, but end up refraining myself. I've come to believe that everything happens for a reason and that someday I'll meet someone who will show me why it never worked out with my two former SO's in the first place. Very well executed, Philip and co. My heart and I thank you.

The scene in the car with Elijah and Audrey. One of my favourite dialogues ever. (Pardon me if there are any errors) We can't keep doing this. I know. I'm sorry. I just can't stop thinking about you. We've been down this road before, Elijah, five years in all. We know where it leads. I feel like you've always been in my life, Audrey. I wasn't ready to refer you to the past tense so soon, not yet. Do you ever think of me? All the time. There was a time before me, there will be a time after me. You're so strong, I don't know how you do it. Others have taught me how, maybe now I'm teaching you. So, who was she tonight? I wish I knew. Our seating positions almost seemed intentional. Like we were meant to have a perfect eye line for stealing glances. Just enough obstruction to see what part of the crowd. Just enough clarity to see that her eyes- Never mind. I shouldn't even be telling you all these. Tell me. Her eyes were beautiful. They reminded me of yours. How ironic. You loved my eyes but hated how I used them. Don't you remember? You said I had a negative view of the world. I loved your ambition. You hated my lack of self control. You sing- My scrawny legs. Don't forget all the reasons why you broke up with me, and all the reasons why I won't answer your message. I wish we never ended the way we did, I just want you to know that- You're learning about yourself, and who you ultimately want is your companion. I was part of that process and you were a part of mine. You don't need to sorry anymore. I'ld be better now if I had another chance. I know you would. But you can be better for someone new. Don't waste all of the pain we've already endured on trying to mend the past. Use to learn and grow for the future, even if I'm not a part of it.
