I read somewhere that the use of profanity is due to a lack of vocabulary lol. Pardon me but I'm old school...I remember when I was a child, all the Police Officers were ALL over 6 feet tall, in wicked shape & there weren't any female Officers. Just their presence alone was terrifying! They would come to our School & talk to us. When we would walk home from School & saw a Policeman we would all say Hi Officer & they actually said hi kids, go straight home & do your homework. It was like another world back then in the 1970's. I miss those days to be honest. People were actually afraid of the Police, but not in a bad way...what a sad turn of events. Police were respected, feared & had presence. That's ALL gone now. Oh, I'm from Toronto Ontario Canada. We have the Royal Canadian Mounted Police too, it was so awesome to see a Policeman riding his horse on our Downtown street, so cool. People would stop to pet the horse too. I still have respect for our Police force in Toronto & just because there are a few bad apples doesn't mean it spoils the whole bunch. I will admit that more Police Officers in Toronto are getting caught in illegal activity. I honestly don't know how a person today decides to be a Police Officer with everything that's going on in the world & that's why I still have respect for those who choose Policing as a Career. First year Officers are paid $30,000 in the first year which really sucks because I'm a Secretary & I make more than a Police Officer! The residential was full of corrupted employees and has a corrupted CEO, they beat up kids, they call names to kids that are being held there, and not only that, there are employees that are eligible for driving the vans, and they told us not to put seatbelts on and they were speeding the whole ride, and this type of fuckery will still encourage the kids' bad habits from their past and when they get discharged, unless they're smart, they will still do the stupid stuff that they did. My father is a retired cop, and when he was on the force, he did not tolerate drunk drivers.
@Z0RDR4CK Жыл бұрын
As much as I understand what you mean, no matter how much your father didn't tolerate it, the drunks who were arrested under his watch were later released by some judges on a paltry thousand dollar bail. Apparently you can earn a lot with collected bail dollars, the taxpayer will pay the rest... the police unit was probably a write-off, at least $10-20k in damage - he, however, regained his freedom for $13xx... something is not right in my opinion. I would rather pay higher taxes so that the justice system has more money at its disposal to be able to keep such people in prison for a longer period of time, than for the criminals to be able to walk around free again a few days later as if nothing had happened. It's just pathetic.

respect for this officer. after seeing your friend/colleague getting hit hard and seeing him flip to still go after the driver instead of checking up on the other officer without thinking. under this pressure you normaly do not know what to choose because you want to give support but also get justice.

Thank lawmakers, in DC, that demanded car manufacturers make cars safer and more survivable with less injuries, after these crashes. However state lawmakers still have a long way to go on drunk driving legislation. I'm tired of seeing these people cause so much carnage and a a little wrist slap and then do it again and again.

@@Amanda_Hugnkiss_ When he pretended to pull over, if the first cop got in front and blocked him, it creates a dangerous situation for the cop. If an unknown person is willing to flee like that, you have no idea if they have a weapon, and by blocking the vehicle, the cop gives them the perfect opportunity to take a shot if they have a weapon.
