A subtly often missed in this story is that the nature of each cyborg is the result of their thought at the moment of the original's death - not just the former human personalities. One of them was in despair due to mortality, and was desperately wishing for life to be preserved. The other was experiencing a moment of utter nihilism and thinking that human life had no value. The aliens recreated each of them based on a scan obtained moments before impact. In other words, since the aliens would have no way of knowing what a "baseline" human mind was like, they based the ENTIRE psychology of the cybernetic copies around the primary thoughts running through the victims minds at the moment of death. Each cyborg flawlessly encapsulated the last ideas being considered, and the last feelings felt, by each human.

Damn I nearly cried for that old man when his family rejected him. I know that feeling when no one acknowledges you but you still try your best for them cause you still love them regardless if they care about you (also I mainly thinking of family members and close friends not significant others, which if that’s the case it’s better to just break it off). Also that crazy teenager feels like someone anyone can become given the power. I know I’ve dwelled on to some dark fantasies and I’ve even pointed finger guns at certain individuals throughout my life. Honestly this feels like certain fantasies people probably have every day of helping others or just wanting the worst for others.

It's just how most killers and drugs abusers are. They are looking for something they'll never find. Most of them wanna feel alive, and something. That's why don't judge people by what they've done. Episode 7 is better. Hiro's mum made him realize that he's screwed up, and then he tries to be good. But it's not to be. He gets a second chance. With Shion he tries to fix things, but it gets screwed up again through no fault of theirs. To understand him, we have to view his psychopathy as a disability. A character defect, he eventually tries to consciously correct for. An undeveloped power of empathy means unlike the rest of us, he does not automatically immediately understand what he should and shouldn't do.
@milanstevic8424
@milanstevic8424 Жыл бұрын
@@danielch6662 It's too late for that family to have any understanding for his disability, though. I think the message here is to be thankful whenever a psychopath doesn't get such powers. In today's world where sadness, introversion, and really any kind of emotional response is readily seen as a vulnerability, we seem to be in a hurry towards a horrific reality where the only beings among those who are perceived as successful and accepted as virtuous by society are in fact psychopaths, wielding crazy powers over the rest of us, practicing weird fetishism only to feel anything at all. The grandpa character symbolizes the opposite of what is young and handsome, a person who is perceived as old, corny, and boring, who is not liked or cared for, without any particular reason for this to be the case, other than for him being a balanced human being with a rich emotional spectrum, who is utterly depressed in such a world, and I think we can all easily identify with this.

This is a presentation of two halves of the same coin delving into their God Mode fantasies. Ones an Angel of Healing, while the other of Death. It was rough watching the eerily realistic looking gun violence (minus the actual gun), especially during that One Piece part, but it just shows how depraved one can be. It says alot about how we sometimes treat our old folks, and take them for granted. We go through tough times but there at an age where they just want to be heard and appreciated, we may think they're boring or something like that, and I know this is different for everyone, but that's what I think, especially with today's generation. Good anime though, I didn't expect elder protagonist!

I had really high hopes for this anime, and it all but delivered until the end. The end was wonky but the story and the premise behind it, was amazing. An old man, at the end of his life, no real family, no one to love or love him back turned into a the hero the world needed but didn't deserve.
@thecommunity1102

I recognized this anime when it got to the guy asking the girl what anime she liked scene but it didn't interest me. Now that I've seen this video of the old man being and given another lease on life. Makes me interested in seeing this show. It's an interesting premise. Seeing another young boy power tripping on God mode... basic. But after getting to see this side of the show I'm interested
@null7198
@null7198 Жыл бұрын
@@thecommunity1102I think it'd be basic if they painted him as a Hero-- I think he's purposefully a subversion of that because he sees himself as that Powerful Hero, without any justification for it-- He's just an emotionless god playing with toys to feel a spark of something; the two main characters are great foils for each other, because they have the same power but use them completely differently.

Interesting, the concept is similar to the found footage movie Chronicle, with the anime not having a neutral third superpowered character (which to be fair didn't really that matter much in the movie), but with an interesting age gap between the antagoinst and protagonist.
