Drunk passenger puts up a fight with cops and airport staff after being denied from boarding plane

Angela Nicole Killian, 44, was flying on American Airlines from Dallas-Fort Worth Airport to Colombia on September 12 when she was denied boarding and staff called police, accusing her of hitting them with her phone in a rage. She claimed to have only had two 'very full' vodka tonics to drink at the airport bar, but was slurring and incoherent as she berated police, then wet herself on the floor. Court records showed Killian was charged with resisting arrest and will face Tarrant County Criminal Court on April 17. She is yet to enter a plea.

As a former airline captain I have denied boarding more than once. It doesn't even have to involve alcohol or this degree of misconduct. Any verbal abuse or unusual behavior toward gate agents, other airline personnel, or other passengers was/is grounds for denial. We took no chances. You never knew how it could escalate once airborne.

Even when flight attendant addresses a passenger as "love" and the passenger tells the flight attendant "I'm not your love"? That got me thrown off an airplane Not only did it get me throwing off the plane. Another flight attendant came to the back where I was in the toilet and asked me what seat I was sitting in I asked her and then she promptly asked me again and I told her. She then told her supervisor that I argued with her

@@muzzledwon1845 Sorry to hear of your experience. There are extremes and exceptions to everything. Of course I wasn't there. Based solely on your version both you and the FA over reacted but none of it should have resulted in you being removed from the airplane. That said, I would have to hear the FA's side of the story to render a fair opinion.

She was a bank employee...her company sent her on trips many times. She and others like her are the reason I made a pledge to myself when I was 19 and started travelling for work that I don’t drink on company time. Flying/driving to and from events that are work related, during my work trips or even after “work hours” where I’m attending an event on behalf of my Conwy, that’s company time. I’m in my mid 50’s now and that mantra has not changed. As a result I’ve never been arrested, embarrassed myself or my family and friends and most importantly brought dishonour to the company that pays for my lifestyle. There’s a time and place for everything.

I mean anyone can drink as long as they're responsible people who know their limits. The consequences for drinking on company time isn't "get arrested", that's a bit of a dramatization. Not everyone gets belligerent after two drinks or even when completely drunk. Even in my college days I'd be hammered and not belligerent. I personally see nothing fun about being drunk on a flight so I wouldn't but a glass or two at a social event is no big deal. The way I drink with friends would not be the same I'd drink with work company; most rational individuals go about things the same. But whether drunk or buzzed, never felt the need to act like this.
