Drunk vs. Sober Eye Movement - Learn what the police look for.

Ever wondered what happens to your eyes when you get drunk? This is a clear demonstration using the same tests that are performed by law enforcement officers.
The tests you'll want to pay closest attention to are the Lack of Smooth Pursuit, and the Nystagmus tests. The eyes are clearly less smooth in the drunk video, and demonstrate nystagmus, which is an involuntary twitching motion.

There's certainly a difference, which is why we put the video up. Nystagmus happens on the peripheries.

Couple of my friend’s eyes already move like that when sober. It’s an unfair test.

We've accounted for genetic resting nystagmus and only detect gaze evoked nystagmus which is created by alcohol and other depressant drugs.

I mean I can see it but it's so slight that if I didn't have reference then I wouldn't be able to tell
