Hey Pierre, thanks for the comment and appreciate the heads up. I actually took a week's vacation and sure enough, my website went down a couple days in. Got it back up and should be working now.... sorry for any inconvenience.

Excellent! Thanks for explaining the "why you do such and such" rather than "then click here" method, as so many tutorials seem to do. The Views Module is now so much easier to understand and realize the power of it. Waiting for the next "episode" Thanks so much..

Hi I love it when you say 'take Views to next level. at about 2:30. I watched this video about a month ago but had to come back and make a note of your excellent tips:- Within SETTINGS > To tick Show filters on the list of views LIVE PREVIEW SETTINGS > Show the SQL query and Show performance statistics Then to optionally SETTINGS > Advanced tab tick Enable view performance statistics / debug messages via the Devel module Kind Regards Matt

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate. Glad to hear the pace has worked for you and welcome to the Drupal community! As for the dog pictures, what I did was create a content type (YOUR SITE/admin/structure/types/add) and from there, added a field for my dog image of type image with an image widget. Then i just went to add content, choose that content type and uploaded a photo. Repeated the add content process 5 or 10 times to create a bunch of pictures... let me know if that helps.

This is the first of your tutorials that I found/viewed, and ... BOOKMARKED ! Almost perfect. Perfect because of the depth and insight given with the explanation (detail-top view approach .. the same I used to use). Almost because ... well, a remark I recently got, and which I recognised, English being a foreign language for me: The speed of talk. After 2.30: Perfect. Before that, just a little to fast for me (ok, a tyresome 24 hours behind me, too, but it was relatively new, and I needed an axtra moment to let it sink in). My advice: (no, not speech) TEACH. The way you explain, is PERFECT Thank you very much for your effort.
@yaworsk110 жыл бұрын
JohnnyBG112 Thanks for the feedback!! Definitely trying to improve the speech in my new tutorials, pretty common feedback. Didn't realize how much these videos could help globally.
@aprit54877 жыл бұрын
If you bit slow down and provided info on data type you using will be much better, otherwise you trick people into buying your tutorials which without this basic info are pretty much worthless, sort of scam, you you talking fast to hide that you do not know what are you talking about.

I, too, am a fan of your work AND your delivery. (I'm from New York City, and a native English speaker, so your pace works just right for me. ;-) I was really excited to learn, from this video, that I could have those drop-down administrative menu options that your demo reveals. However, when I installed those administrative menus and disabled "Overlay" and "Toolbar" in the Modules section, the cool administrative menu shows up, and then a screen or two later, disappears. Do you know why?

I've watched 8 of the 10 videos in this series and have learned a great deal. Thank you so much. I also like the fast pace. Sometimes I have to stop and listen to something more than once and that's ok with me. I have been active in Drupal for only a week and have accomplished quite a bit... I can't seem to find anywhere (my dumb luck) where you describe how or where you uploaded all the dog pictures....what it an unpublished blog? I'm sure you must have said it somewhere....Please explain.

Great first tutorial, looking forward to this series! One thing though. you said that the Media module (that you said is altering the image style) is out of the scope of this series, would it be possible to do a follow up on this module as it related to views? Also, how did you go about adding all of your pictures? I'm looking for a bulk upload module that will add the files to a library type directory.. Any clues? Cheers mate!

To reiterate what everyone is saying, thank you your tutorials, they are wonderful! However, I am having trouble replicating your results and was wondering if you could provide quick clarification on an issue. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks very much anyway !

Can you use views to pull several content types into one page. For example, if you have a Video Game and you want to display all content types associated with each game. X game has content type: Tips, Reviews, Photos, Video content type. Can I use views to show all related info in one page?
@yaworsk18 жыл бұрын
R. Hila yup. You'd need something that relates all those content types together regarding the video game but it can be done with relationships.
